Phil Flanigan (b); Plus many collaborations with Chris Flory (g), Bob Sneider (g), Mike Melito (d) (all heard on several cuts here). Just for fun, I've also included "Pink Popcorn," written with Phil and recorded in our living room with multiple passes of the 2-track digital recorder.

Hanna Richardson's passion for rhythm is at the heart of her approach to singing, as is her background on piano, mandolin, and most recently, tenor guitar. Reviewers cite her respect for the melody, her "mature interpretation of lyrics without histrionics or mannerisms," and a "warm/cool dichotomy, simultaneously suggesting the frosted richness of Chris Connor and tousled sexiness of Julie London." She credits Rosemary Clooney and Maxine Sullivan as her primary influences, both for their approach to singing and their affection and respect for the musicians with whom they worked.
Hanna has co-produced three CDs with her husband, bassist Phil Flanigan. Two (Something to Remember You By and Live at the Fleece) are available on CD Baby, and the third (Things Are looking Up) is out of print, but available as downloads through CD Baby, ITunes, etc. All 3 have won SAMMY awards for best Jazz recording.
She also appears on the Arbors CD, Simply With Spirit.
Her newest venture is Tenor Madness, featuring the tenor guitar (Hanna plays mean rhythm!) and of course Phil Flanigan on upright bass. Hear samples and read the story at myspace.com/tenorguitarmadness.
