HannekeLaura’ is a Dutch singer/songwriter who is based in Ireland. Her style is best described as a mixture of the singer/songwriter sound of artists like Jewel, Tori Amos & Joni Mitchell – with a taste of Irish folk.
Born in a small town in the South of Limburg Hanneke started playing the piano at a young age. Her love for singing & guitar developed when moving to ‘rockcity’ The Hague. Being magically attracted to the purity of acoustic music in Ireland she had been a regular visitor of the country for years before moving over. However her interest for folk music is not limited to Ireland. In the past she played in Spanish troubadourgroup ‘Tuna‘.
HannekeLaura has played on several festivals in The Netherlands & Ireland the past years. At the start of 2009 HannekeLaura accompanied wellknown artist Perry Blake for a few acoustic shows in The Netherlands & Ireland.
2007 saw the release of her first CD Silence of the Winds. Material for a new album is being written at the moment. And there is more to come!!

I've been working on my first vinyl for two years now, but it's here! 5 little songs on a 7" called Sur La Route, with guest vocals of Julien Pras (Calc) and David Lespes (Pull) recorded in Bordeaux. You can listen to a few songs in my player, but for only 5 euros you can get a copy in the Snowstar Store. Thanks for the support!
