Hanner Pei began its journey through the anus of funk and rock in the late 80s, just as James Taylor, The Brand New Heavies and London Boys were lubing up their pecks for Christmas. But Hanner Pei were different: their funk was a Welsh funk. And therefore, a brand new musical genre was born: Funk, in Welsh.
This funk was delivered TO and became popular IN all four courners of the land, and soon Hanner Pei were stitting on top of what seemed an enormous cake. In fact, it was a white Bedford van.
They soon launched into the creation of their first album - "Locsyn" - on cassette; with the use of parents' funds and a harpist's Volvo.
Three cassette albums later, in the wake of a few dwindling careers in medicine, the media and metalwork, Hanner Pei return: fatter, slower, angrier.
