Hanno Leichtmann has founded several different projects in Berlin: Ich schwitze nie (trikont rec.), Paloma (mehrwert rec.), dj Attaché, vs. the Beige Oscillator (charhizma rec), and White Hole (kyo-rec.de), but has been mainly active with Static, until recently. In 2006 Leichtmann realised his first full-length under his own name, Nuit Du Plomb, released on Karaoke Kalk, an ambient soundtrack originally made for a scenic lecture of Hans Henny Jahnn's novel "The Night of Lead".
Leichtmann originally comes from a (free) jazz background and has performed with performed with many international free improvisers as well as electronic musicians, including: Connie and Johannes Bauer, Lars Rudolph, Tony Buck, John Zorn, Toshi Nakamura, The European String Quintet, Hannes Strobl, Sam Auinger, Rupert Huber, Christof Kurzmann, Ronald Lippok, Stefan Schneider. He has also worked for theatre (sasha waltz and guests dance company) and radio (Deutschlandradio, WDR, ORF)
