Hans Erik trying to sound like: Rufus Wainwright, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Jeremy Gordon, Chet Baker, Stephen Bishop, Bill Withers, Todd Rundgren, Sarah McLachlan, Ben Folds, Lauren Hill, Paul Simon, Musiq Soulchild, Nick Pichet, Corey Palmer, Sarah Vaughn, James Mercer, Van Hunt, Thom York, John Legend, David Byrne, Andrew Bird and whoever else he seems to be listening to at any given moment.
Hans Erik lives in New York City. He has lead two bands, HanZsolo and Hanz Erik and the Hims with some of the greatest musicians he has ever known: Stein Malvey, Erik Naslund, Ollie Bauer, George Marich and Corina Malburn. He has released two CD's: Closet Pop and Copay of which he is quite proud. He apologizes for all the alternate spellings of his name over the years. His real name is Hans Erik Erickson. You can laugh if like. He is proud of his name.
Sit back and enjoy a moment of him singing his heart out for you. This is the best he could do in March of 2007. He writes and works at improving his voice daily, all with the aim of performing more music for you. He guarantees that he will continue both of these pursuits for years to come as their execution gives him great joy and seem to be yoked very closely to his inner purpose. Thank you for your visit and enjoy the music!
Oh hey have you considered opening an iLike artist account on Facebook? People can swap music and have it on their profile in seconds, recommend it to people, etc. It's very effective, in my opinion.
Life is crazy right now, but then again it's finals season so why wouldn't it be? I'm leaving Bemidji and transferring to UW - La Crosse to completely change majors. It's really sad and kind of hard not to be a music major anymore but it's for the best in many ways. I love my new major and can't wait to start at UWL :D
Hans! My band was actually just in NYC like 2 weeks ago on tour, I totally spaced that you were living there now. bummer! who knows though, I am in love with that city... I think maybe I'll end up there sometime in the future. We could form an east-coast branch of the Acoustic Showcase! Haha.
Ok! That was a fast reply, lol I'm actually on iPod now so I can't really download it but I'll definitelly do it tomorrow morning. And I'll make sure to let everyone know it's you, no doubt about it ;) thanks again.
Xxxxxzzzzzz gonna dash now. Almost 2am. Bedtime :)
Hey Hans! Yeah, i did tell a friend about you. I actually told more than one, lol. Anywayz, i loved "head over heels". Honestly, waaaaay better than the original, but dont let Tears For Fears know i said that ;)
I would love to have this song because honestly i have looked for it online (your version i mean) and havent found it anywhere! Let me know how i can download it, will you? Thanks. You're a sweetheart. Xxxxx
Loved your voice and your versions for those songs, they sound better than the original ;). I'm definitely gonna try to make it if you ever come play in Brazil :)
This is a letter requesting your participation in a study regarding White males' experiences and perspectives on race. I am requesting that you to fill out a brief questionnaire for a research project that I am conducting for my Master’s of Social Work thesis at Smith School for Social Work. I will also be requesting your help in forwarding the study to other White men who are eligible to participate in this study, even if you should decide not to participate in the study yourself.
As mentioned above, the research concerns White males’ experiences and perspectives on race. The study is an important one that could help clinicians who are working with this population. Participants must be between the ages 25 to 40, and identify as Caucasian or White, and male.
If you are willing to participate, please click on the link which will lead you to an informed comsent form as well as the survey. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Your interest and efforts in helping with this research endeavor are greatly appreciated.

Yo Mr. Brooklyn, how is NY treating ya? Hope you are playing tons of music! Nice to hear from you awhile back. Say Hola to Kassy, hope she is going well with grad school. I do have a good friend that I am about due to visit in Manhattan, so I will try to hook up with you guys when I make it out there!
You have a most sultry sounding voice. Good taste in musical influences as well. However, take it as a compliment or not, you remind me of Adam, the lead singer from Maroon 5 with a dash of Michael Buble for good measure. : )I hope you find what you are looking for in Brooklyn. It sure it a ways away from Minnesota.
Hi Hans this is Kowanna and Taz we miss you very much. THE Choir needs you badd. Hows life in the big apple when we come to NY we are going to look you up. One
Yeah, school is pretty awesome. The state however...we definetely got the cold lake experience here as well, but probably on the other end of the spectrum from your experience.
My sister lives in Edina, MN and I go there from time to time to visit. I love it there! What made you decide to move? Are you happy that you made the move? I'm sure it's much more exciting than middle of nowhere. :) If you ever come back to Iowa or maybe MN to perform you should let me know!
Hey, I live in CT. About 2 1/2 hours from Brooklyn. The band on my page is Aloke. They are from NYC and I've been friends with them for a few years now. You should go see them play!! They're really great live. They're Playing @ the Annex in Brooklyn Nov. 7th and @ Matchless in Brooklyn Nov. 16th. I love your solo stuff!! If you want a show in New London, CT let me know!!
Hans, I'm glad you like the song on my profile. I think she's great too! I love that you like Rufus Wainwright, Ben Folds, and Lauren Hill. I live in middle of nowhere Iowa where peope don't listen to good music so it's refreshing to hear from you! I hope you had a great Monday and that the rest of your week is amazing.
