Filled up my truck on the way to work
Those gas prices really hurt
It's like feeding a hungry beast with liquid gold

One day I'll look up and there it will be
$10 a gallon starin' back at me
Ya know the price of gas is getting out of control

Put a $100 in my tank
I'm a WORKING MAN I don't own a BANK!

Well this filling up is killing me
You know it's highway robbery
Somebody somewhere's got to do something about that
Politicians speak of change and hope
Then make laws that hurt common folks
We just gotta stop this political insanity
Filling up is killing me

We oughta' stick a straw in old Anwr
And how ‘bout some Nuclear Power?
The politics of it all is starting to stink

Don't need more oil from overseas
We need to build some refineries
It's time to drill don't need more time to think!

If it takes ten years to get oil online
Why are we wasting so much time?
