"Happy Bastards are Christine Chatfield (guitar/vocals), Sean Schock (drums/vocals), Fred Merwin (guitar) and Jamie Hartley (bass). All ex-members of previous bands, this fierce foursome is a new resurrection of good ol'righteous rock n'roll and the trusty abrasiveness of hardcore punk. In 2003 they slapped their first nine tunes to wax after recording with Billy Barnett at Gung Ho Studios. Then, earning their 'road-warrior' status, they toured numerous times around the US. In 2006 Profane Existence Records released their first full-length album on CD, recorded at DogWood, called A Box of Hard Knocks. Happy Bastard's first split 7" came out on French label, Fight For Your Mind Records. This summer their second split 7" will be released, again, on Profane Existence Records. The wild west won't know what hit 'em when Happy Bastards and veteran rockers, The Cooters (from Mississippi) tag team tour the West Coast for three weeks this July."
