I have just started a new business with my partner as an Education Agent in Australia - helping International Students get acceptance into Australian Universities. It's really a very rewarding business helping students and being their English-Speaking representative for Australian Universities and English schools, I really love it.

My partner is from Jordan in the Middle East so speaks fluent Arabic (I've been learning Arabic for years but am still up to lesson 3 - it's a really hard language for me to learn, the 'sounds' are very different to the way to we normally speak). I do love learning languages though, before I started to learn Arabic, I was learning Spanish and Indonesian which was much easier and felt more fulfilling because I was actually getting through all the lessons.

By the way, I believe that Pimsleur Language courses are the best way to learn to speak any language, they have a way of putting what's in the 'short-term' memory into your permanent 'long-term' memory by the timing and way that they teach - and they are audio cd's that you can run in your car on the way to work or convert to MP3 and learn while you're doing your dishes, etc.. I highly recommend Pimsleur. 

I have lived in Australia all my life, from Ballarat, to Melbourne, to Sydney, back to Melbourne, then Ballarat again. I even went fruitpicking with other backpackers from other countries for just over 6 months because I just love hanging out with travellers, it's so much fun (pity it's such crap pay or I'd happily choose it as my profession hehe!). 

I went to Bali for a month, that's been my only overseas experience so far - unless you count Tassie! You can read about my different experiences in Bali on my blog :)  As my partner is from Jordan, I'm sure that Jordan will be on the cards to travel in the future. I'd also love to go to China, Thailand, Egypt, Europe, and Africa. I could happily live in Bali for the rest of my life, but I think that's just because it was so different and that I haven't travelled anywhere else.. perhaps I'd fall in love with every place I holiday to and feel the same way? :)

Bali Blog 

 I absolutely love meeting new cultures and learning new ways of life, it's exciting for me and I really love meeting friendly people.

I've been experimenting with making money online on and off over the past 8 years, I have tried everything from Adsense pages, to Blogging, to Affiliate Marketing, eBay stores, MLM, ebook stores, to "Get Rich Quick" schemes and unfortunately have spent a fortune and have been scammed many times over the past 10 years. A little bit wiser these days, still learning, and 'staying away' from the false promises and fancy marketing still gets me occasionally, but with all of those experiments, I have learnt a lot, especially about what "not to do" :) I still believe that affiliate marketing is an awesome way to make passive money online, just haven't quite achieved all the steps to make it work for me.

For now though, I'm happy to concentrate 100% on my Education Agent business with my partner, a 'real' business, that helps people. We basically help International Students apply for their Diploma, Bachelors, Masters, or PHD Degrees on their behalf and get them accepted into any Major in Australian Universities. We also arrange for their study of English in Australia, and for some students who want it, we can also help them with checking their Australian Student Visa application before they submit it to the Australian Embassy, Accommodation (On Campus / Off-Campus / Home-Stay), Air Tickets to Australia,  Pickup from Airport, etc. And we follow-up with them while in Australia to make sure that all is well and if there’s anything we can further help with.

I really thrive when I'm hanging with others who have big dreams and motivation, it's when I'm at my happiest! :)

Earlier in life... I had a car accident at 15, spent months in physio, had to quit school, then got kicked out of home (same year), got "saved" by a girl's hostel where I lived for a few years, I lived with girl's who had had some really terrible things happen to them, things so bad that it made me realize that .. if they could go on.. after all the rotten things that had happened to them, then I could too. I had no job, no money, didn't get along with family, I had like 2 friends, no confidence, and no future. Shortly after, I found Louise Hay & Anthony Robbins. 

They were my first introduction to self-esteem, self-thought, motivation, positive thinking, personal development, etc. Louise Hay taught me how to "forgive", that was huge to be able to forgive all the people I 'blamed' for my situation including myself, and Anthony was my secret personal development king that gave me a "drive" for a successful life. Anthony seemed so "over-the-top" at the time, but that was exactly what I needed, and I believe together they changed my life. After that, I got totally addicted to personal development, I started having big dreams of what I wanted for my future and getting some confidence and self-respect. I have a library of personal development books. I'm a "personal development junkie" through and through :)

Neuro-Linguistic Programming Blog 

These days, although I still read every night, I get more "reading" in because I'm an audiobook addict, I can listen to my audiobooks in the car or on my phone, basically I can "read" while I do the dishes or just driving to and from my destinations. It's great, I highly recommend it! :) I am a strong believer in The Law of Attraction. I was so happy when I came across The Secret, all of my favourite speakers were on the movie! I had listened to these people over and over again over the past few years and here they all were together, talking about "The Secret" and "The Law of Attraction" and "The Science of Getting Rich", etc.. I felt like I had "come home". 

I had bought both of Mike Dooley's DVD packs, "Infinite Possibilities: The Art of Living Your Dreams" & "Leveraging the Universe and Engaging the Magic!". He's such a wonderful speaker, and so truly great to listen to, they didn't show him much in the movie, but he's brilliant.. I could listen to those audio cd's over and over and over and over again.. actually I do :) In fact I wish he would put out more so that I could buy more off him. He hasn't put a new one out in ages! *weep*. 

And just before I found "The Secret", I was listening to Abraham Hicks' "Law of Attraction" (What "The Secret" was based on). Now that the movie has been seen and loved by millions, it's great to find other like-minds, where we can say "I understand you". I didn't have that before. Well.. I love my friends but some of my friends think that "The Secret" is a bunch of mumbo jumbo and refuse to talk about it or watch it hehe, so it's great to go online and talk to new friends from all over the world that I can relate to. I even created a Twitter account which offers people a "Tweet" 'Secret Quote' of the day at @StudyTheSecret. 

I really love Social Media marketing and social media in general - facebook, twitter, youtube, linkedin, friendfeed, etc.

It even has a free Wordpress Directory where others who offer services to bloggers can post what they do.. like a "micro-niche jobs" such as social marketing, fixing a blog theme, etc.
