I was born and raised in California. At age 5 on the advise of a family friend, I met with a children's talent agency and was immediately signed. Shortly therafter I was cast in what would be the first of over forty television commercials for such leading brand names as "CREST",KELLOGG'S CORN FLAKES",and THREE MUSKETEERS." By the age of 6, I made my feature film debut in "HOW SWEET IT IS", starring James Garner and Debbie Reynolds. That was followed by my first television series "DAKTARI" in which I co-starred as Jenny, the resident orphan. My next series role was Don Rickles daughter on "THE DON RICKLES SHOW". Between the ages of 8 and 12 I performed in 3 additional feature films "HAPPY ENDINGS", WATERMELON MAN" and "EIGHTY STEPS TO JONAH". Along with a movie of the week "LISA BRIGHT AND DARK" playing Ann Baxter's daughter.
At age 12, I was cast in "HAPPY DAYS, one of the longest running situation comedies in television history. While filming "HAPPY DAYS", I co-starred with Eddie Albert Jr. in the feature film "GALAXY OF TERROR" as well as the movie of the week "TWIRL" , starring with Stella Stevens and Charlie Haid.
During the tenth season of "HAPPY DAYS", I starred in my own spin-off series "JOANIE LOVES CHACHI". Each episode featured a musical duet which gave me the opportunity to express and share my love for singing.
Throughout the years, I have guest starred in numerous episodic television shows spanning over three decades such as "GUNSMOKE", "DEATH VALLEY DAYS", "FAMILY AFFAIR", "THE COURTSHIP OF EDDIE'S FATHER","THE FBI", "THE WALTON'S","THE LOVE BOAT","HOTEL","MURDER SHE WROTE","DIAGNOSIS MURDER" and"G vs E". I was also given the honor to host "DICK CLARK'S NEW YEARS ROCKIN' EVE SPECIAL".
I performed in my theatre debut as Bella in "LOST IN YONKERS". Then went on to tour with "THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG", "THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES" and "VANITIES".
