Happy Go Lucky was formed in Malmö 2001 by Jan Lundgren. He wanted to explore what his simple songs would sound like if he messed them up with swirling sounds from cheap toy keyboards and mixing acoustic guitars with light breathy vocals. The music is anything but happy go lucky. The songs may at times feel upbeat and cheerfull but the lyrics are downbeat and melancholic.
The one man project was originally a recording project for Jan but when Happy Go Lucky is playing live he´s not alone.
Members from current Happy Go Lucky live line-up also play in David and the Citizens/Homeland and the Housewife lovers. The former line-up had members from Piotor, Log cabin, Dialog cet and the pure talent of mr Ed Greene.
