Tomoyo Harada
Born: 28 November 1967 in Nagasaki, Japan.

Tomoyo landed on her first film role in 'Toki o Kakeru Shojo' (The Girl Who Leapt Through TIme) in 1983, where she played the lead as well as sang the theme song, selected from among over 57,000 entrants through a nation-wide open audition, which paved the road for her highly successful career (of 27 years as of today) as an actress and singer.
She has recently appeared in critically acclaimed films such as 'Sayonara COLOR' and Kazuo Kuroki's last film'Kamiya Etsuko no Seishun'.
As a singer, she has released numerous albums since her debut in 1983.
Among those are the collaborations with Keiichi Suzuki during the 90s and 00s. Being the first Japanese artist that worked with Tore Johansson, Swedish producer, she toured Japan backed by an all-Swedish band, to coincide with the albums produced by Johansson, cultivating a whole new set of fans.
She made a guest appearance on the MOOSE HILL album 'DESERT HOUSE', where she sang two songs.
2007 saw the release of 'music & me', the album to celebrate her 25th anniversary as a singer,which was produced by Goro Ito (MOOSE HILL/naomi & goro),featuring guest luminaries including Keiichi Suzuki,Yukihiro Takahashi,Taeko Onuki,Kicell,Yuji Oniki,and Masakatsu Takagi.
She also became a member of pupa,a new-born six-piece band formed in the summer of the year, under the vision of Yukihiro Takahashi to start a new project,along with Hiroshi Takano,Ren Takada,Hirohisa Horie and Tomohiko Gondo.
pupa debuted with the album 'floating pupa' on 2 July 2008,and embarked on the "pupa Live Tour 2008 -floating 6 pupas".
Her first solo album in two years, 'eyja' was released on October 21st 2009. The album title means ..island.. in Icelandic. Recording took place in both Iceland and Japan, with Goro Ito as producer, and a variety of featured guest musicians and songwriters including Haruomi Hosono, Taeko Onuki, Junji Ishiwatari, múm, and Valgeir Sigurðsson. A national tour entitled 'Live Tour 2010 eyja' began in February 2010.


1967年11月28日生まれ。長崎市出身。
1983年、オーディションで5万7千人の中から選ばれ、映画『時をかける少女』で主演デビュー。 同作品は、主演と共に、同名の主題歌も歌い話題となった。 以来27年間、女優、シンガーとしてキャリアを築いている。 近年は『サヨナラCOLOR』、黒木和雄監督の遺作となった『紙屋悦子の青春』など 数々の話題作に出演。
シンガーとしても、デビュー当時からコンスタントにアルバムを発表。 90 年代以降は鈴木慶一らとのコラボレーションによる数々のアルバムを制作。 邦楽のミュージシャンとしては初となるスウェーデンのプロデューサー、 トーレ・ヨハンソンを迎えてのアルバム制作、それに伴うオール・スウェディッシュ・ メンバーとの国内ツアーなどで多くの新しいリスナーを獲得。 独自の足跡を残してきた。
2006年にはMOOSE HILLのアルバム『DESERT HOUSE』に２曲ゲストボーカルとして 参加。
2007年に、デビュー25周年記念アルバム『music & me』をリリースした。 この作品には、プロデューサーにMOOSE HILL/naomi & goroとしても活躍中の伊 藤ゴローを迎え、参加アーティストには、鈴木慶一、高橋幸宏、大貫妙子、キセ ル、オニキユウジ、高木正勝など豪華なメンバーが顔を揃えた。
2007年夏、高橋幸宏の新バンド構想の呼びかけにより、原田知世、高野寛、高田 漣、堀江博久、権藤知彦の計6人でpupaを結成。
2008年7月2日、デビュー・アルバム『floating pupa』発売。pupa Live Tour "floating 6 pupas"を行った。
2009年10月21日、アイスランド語で ” 島 "を指す言葉をタイトルに掲げた、2年ぶりのソロアルバム『eyja（エイヤ）』をリリース。日本とアイスランドでレコーディングを行った同作品は、プロデューサーに伊藤ゴロー、そして細野晴臣、大貫妙子、いしわたり淳治、mum、ヴァルゲイル・シグルドソンなどが楽曲提供している。2010年2月より全国で、" LIVE TOUR 2010 eyja "を開催。

Album『eyja』は2009年10月21日に発売しました。
前作『music ＆ me』に引き続き、プロデューサーに伊藤ゴローを迎え、日本とアイスランド両国にてレコーディングを行いました。
