HARALD PETERSTORFER: BIOGRAPHY
Harald is an accomplished musician and guitarist known for his versitility as a performer, composer, arranger, recording artist, recording studio engineer, workshop leader, and educator that is fluent in jazz, world, classical, celtic, and improvised music.
Born in 1963 in Wels, Austria, he has loved and studied music all of his life. His schooling includes a degree from Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria and his teachers include international musicians like Peter O..Mara and workshops with Ralph Towner, Afrain Toro, Tuck Andress, Billy Heart, Ron McClure, Steve Coleman and many others.
He has performed and recorded with international artists from Europe, India, and the United States that include John Doan, Alan Praskin, Wayne Darling, Wolfgang Puschnig, Adelhard Roidinger & Heinrich von Kalnein Austria, Pawan Kumar, Aija-Riitta Holopainen, Doris Kirschhofer & among others. Noteworthy are his performances and recordings with RIJA, OutOfBlueWorldEdition (renown as "One of the most original European bands on the jazz scene" - Jazz Festival of Cheltenham, England), and different Acoustic Guitar duos.
