General
WWII and art crap seem to take up most of my spare time, though I have began to do home repairs and random hiking/wandering. As for WWII, I'm interested in the rise of the Nazis, their politics, and what truly went on at the concentration camps. I look forward to learning more on the aspect of the Russian side, as I do not believe it is well studied. But I do not limit myself in learning only that. I am truly a nerd at heart and a sponge as well. I enjoy being educated as much as I enjoy being able to work with my hands.As for art, I go for anything. I am not picky as to what I dabble in. I try to be the eclectic type, which is just a fun word to use. It sounds more spiffy than it really is. But please, do not try to get me to be more specific with the types of art that I am interested in. The list is constantly growing and changing. I can give you an idea of what I have tried and would like to, but I even forget.
Music
The genres I like are: rock, hard rock, classical, classic rock, industrial, goth, 80s, techno. My favorite bands are: Apoptygma Berzerk, The Cure, Alice in Chains, Nirvana. I seem to be drawn more towards WWII dramas: Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, The Pianist, and Downfall. Aside from that, Dead Man Walking was a very moving film and I did like Spielberg's adaptation of War of the Worlds. LOST, LOST, and more LOST! Ok, so I like that show somewhat. How could you tell? I'm not obsessed with it, I swear!! ...OK... I lied. Aside from that, I really do not watch much TV. When I do, it's either something educational, since I am silly like that, or amusing...like Dirty Jobs, Myth Busters, America's Funniest Home Videos (I like watching people do stupid things), and Ninja Warrior...
Books
I really do not have an author I follow, except for a weakness with H.G. Wells. I'm sure it is obvious by now that I read a lot on WWII. I have a small library on it too. I also try to keep myself rounded by keeping up with the classics as well while picking up on works of noted philosophers and theorists. Even then, I still like the mindless, but good, stories like most everyone else. I also study from the Bible.Heroes
My mother is a true hero for me. Through thick and thin, she has always been there for me, even with our fights and disagreements.Aside from her, I have found Ernest Gorden to be a huge source of inspiration. He encountered so many trials during his life, especially in the Japanese POW camp, and was able to turn them around with a positive and forgiving outlook on life. He found God in the most unexpected of places and allowed Him to carry him through.
Another woman that inspires me is Kay Redfield Jamison. She is a well noted psychologist that wrote a book on her constant battle with manic-depression. Not only does she put the risk of having her job on the line because of this, she is brutally honest as well, putting all on the table.
Elie Wiesel is another awe-inspiring man. Being a survivor of Auschwitz, he wrote one of the most well known and noted memoir of his time there: ..Night... Constantly fighting for the rights of not only the Jewish people, but for humanity in general, he is respected by most that know of him.

About me:
I try to pretend that I am an artsy fartsy type, though, I hardly create something that I like. Lately, I have been slacking in the department due to a lack of an actual place to create, but I plan on picking up again as soon as I can.I created this extra profile on myspace in hopes of networking and boosting my artwork. I know there are many out there that share the same hopes and ambitions.
I have recently decided to start selling some of my work, some of which may be found on my etsy account. If you are interested in anything listed there but would rather not sign up, I have more listed on my personal website. I accept PayPal, money orders, and personal checks, but everything must clear before an item is shipped. On top of that, I will do commission and prices for those will depend on the project asked for.
I am currenlty selling seashells, hairsticks, and a handful of jewelry. I am in the midst of updating my website, so what I have for sell can be found on my etsy account. I still am accepting custom orders and welcome any requests.

NerdCOM is a residential location comprised of a large front house, a large rear condo, and a spacious
half-covered patio area in between! Easy access to the patio area where the party is going to be located without
