Everything started in 2000 in a small village called Ripollet (Barcelona) when Sergi Hormigó (drums), David Agüera (guitar), and Manu Esteve (voice) created the band. Victor Muiño (bass) and Antonio Landeira (keyboards) completed a little time later the original line-up.
In December 2001, all the accumulated work ended up with the recording of a demo: "WINGS ON FIRE ". This work includes four songs and shows a pure melodic hard-rock sound with a personal atmosphere. This was just the beginning of what, by that moment, was only a “hard dream”.
“WINGS ON FIRE " was recorded in AURHA studies in Barcelona, with the prestigious engineer Mauricio Tonelli (Sangtraït, Meat Loaf, etc.). After this recording, A. Landeira left the band and was replaced for David Ruiz in the keyboards.
In all those songs we can find powerful riffs of guitar and captivating melodies which reveal some influences that come from the pure A.O.R. of bands like MAGNUM and SURVIVOR and also from the hard powerful rock of DOKKEN, QUEENSRYCHE, WHITESNAKE, etc. Everything treated with a fresh and modern sound.
The good result that they got in the different mass media and the great reception in the direct shows as well allowed the band to get their first recording contract with VINNY RECORDS.
The first long-length work, called "CALLING EVERYWHERE”, was recorded during the summer in 2002 in AURHA studies and NAUTILUS in Barcelona. It was mixed and masterized by the famous music and producer Carlos Creator, in Rockstudios in Bilbao.
This work includes eleven songs, where there is a mixture of different styles keeping in the hard A.O.R. That attracts a kind of audience with more melodic tastes and the followers of the harder rock either. The edition of the album was in March 2004.
When the album was released, David Ruiz left the band and Quique Carmona, a good friend of the band, contributed from time to time on the keyboards. Hardreams initiated a promotion of themselves with several shows, sharing stage with artists like BOB'S CATLEY (Magnum), VAUGHN (Tyketto), FIREHOUSE, JIM PETERIK (Survivor, Mecca, Pride of lions). They also did different shows in a national level like in the third edition of the prestigious festival NEMELROCK in Madrid.
Unfortunately, the recording company Vinny Records, gave up his recording activity just after the disc was released. That made impossible any possibility of promotion and selling of the disc. However, this fact didn’t affect the strength of the band. In spite of that, it stimulated the hope of keep on expressing their own music style.
Finally, Sergi Segarra got the keyboard player place. That’s how the current band formation is completed and also how it is presented in several shows since then on, like in the remarkable performance in the prestigious Ripollet Rock Festival 2006 sharing stage with the Germans EDGUY and others.
Between may 2006 and late 2007, the band recorded a new album, which is called "The Road Goes On" and contains 11 new tracks. In this new album, HARDREAMS keep on producing their true hard melodic style.
This new work has been recorded in AUHRA and BOO-BOO'S studies in Barcelona with Tomi Perez as an engineer, co-producer and manager of sound mixtures.
In this new work, there is also what we could call the result of their natural evolution and experience effect. So now there are tracks which are more direct and powerful, containing exquisite melodies, but always keeping the good quality of sound that characterizes their earlier productions.
Right after finishing the recording process, the band signed a recording contract with the american label PERRIS RECORDS for a worldwide edition and distribution. "THE ROAD GOES ON ..." was finally released in all over the world in May 20, 2008.
Once the album came out, the band focused more strongly on his live presentation, offering a series of concerts, such as the remarkable gig with the californians L.A. GUNS in Barcelona and the participation in the Melodic FEST festival in Madrid, sharing stage with some of the most important hard rock / AOR Spanish bands.
In 2009, HARDREAMS is trying hard to keep showing their new work, with the greatest number of gigs done along their career. Also, the band already started working on some new compositions in order to begin to create a new future album. The road goes on...

Es a mediados del año 2000 en Ripollet (Barcelona) cuando Sergi Hormigó (batería), David Agüera (guitarra), y Manu Esteve (voz) forman la banda. Víctor Muiño (bajo) y Antonio Landeira (teclados) completan poco tiempo después el line-up original.
En Diciembre del 2001 todo el trabajo acumulado da su fruto en forma de demo. El disco “WINGS ON FIRE”, compuesto por cuatro canciones de puro hard-rock melódico con una atmósfera personal, crea a la banda unas expectativas que hasta ese momento solo eran un “duro sueño”.
“WINGS ON FIRE” se graba en los estudios AURHA de Barcelona, con el prestigioso ingeniero Mauricio Tonelli (Sangtraït, Meat Loaf, etc.) Tras esta grabación A. Landeira abandona la banda y es sustituido por David Ruiz a los teclados.
En el sonido encontramos potentes riffs de guitarra y cautivadoras melodías que destilan unas influencias que van desde el puro A.O.R. de bandas como MAGNUM, HAREM SCAREM, TEN, SURVIVOR al hard rock potente de unos DOKKEN, WHITESNAKE, VAN HALEN, etc. Todo ellos tratado con un sonido fresco y moderno.
La buena repercusión en los diferentes medios de comunicación así como la gran acogida en los directos da como resultado el primer contrato discográfico de la banda con la compañía VINNY RECORDS.
El primer larga duración, titulado “CALLING EVERYWHERE” es grabado durante el verano del 2002, en los estudios AURHA y NAUTILUS de Barcelona; mezclado y masterizado por el afamado músico y productor Carlos Creator, en los Rockstudios de Bilbao.El trabajo consta de once temas, donde se mezclan distintos estilos que, dentro del hard A.O.R, atrae tanto a un público de gustos más melódicos como a los seguidores del rock mas duro. El debut discográfico se edita en marzo del dos mil cuatro.
Coincidiendo con la salida del álbum, David Ruiz abandona la banda y es Quique Carmona, buen amigo de la banda, quien colabora eventualmente a los teclados. Hardreams inicia una promoción compuesta por numerosas actuaciones, compartiendo cartel con artistas de la talla de BOB CATLEY (Magnum), VAUGHN (Tyketto), FIREHOUSE, JIM PETERIK (Survivor, Mecca, Pride of lions) y diferentes shows a nivel nacional como la tercera edición del prestigioso festival NEMELROCK en Madrid.
Desgraciadamente, la compañía Vinny Records, cesa su actividad discográfica justo al editarse el disco, anulando toda posibilidad de promoción. Este hecho no afecta la férrea voluntad de la banda y más aún, incentiva el afán por seguir expresando su música.
Posteriormente, Sergi Segarra se hace con el puesto de teclista y así completan la actual formación con la que se presentan en diversos shows entre los que destaca su actuación en el prestigioso Ripollet Rock Festival 2006 compartiendo cartel con los alemanes EDGUY entre otros.
Entre mayo del 2006 y finales del 2007, el grupo acaba de grabar su nuevo disco, que lleva por titulo: “THE ROAD GOES ON…”, compuesto de 11 nuevos temas. El nuevo trabajo se registra en los estudios AUHRA Y BOO-BOO’S de Barcelona contando como ingeniero, co-productor y encargado de las mezclas a Tomi Pérez.
En estas nuevas composiciones la banda permanece fiel a su estilo hard melódico pero su propuesta se ha visto renovada, fruto de la evolución natural y la experiencia, siendo ahora sus temas mas directos y potentes, provistos de melodías exquisitas, manteniendo la buena calidad de sonido que habían caracterizado sus anteriores producciones.
Al poco tiempo de terminar el proceso de grabación, la banda firma un contrato discográfico con el sello norteamericano PERRIS RECORDS para su edición y distribución a nivel mundial. “THE ROAD GOES ON…” se pone a la venta, en todo el mundo, el 20 de Mayo del 2008.
Una vez el disco ve la luz, el grupo se aboca de lleno a su presentación en directo, ofreciendo una serie de conciertos, entre los que sobresalen la actuación como teloneros de los californianos L. A. GUNS en Barcelona y su participación en el festival MELODIC FEST en Madrid, junto a algunas de las bandas mas destacadas del hard rock / AOR español.
Para el 2009, HARDREAMS tiene intención de seguir mostrando su nueva obra, con la mayor cantidad de actuaciones de toda su carrera, a la vez que ha comenzado a trabajar en las nuevas composiciones destinadas a formar parte de un futuro tercer disco. El camino continúa...
