When the Skulls called it a day in 2006, English bassman James Harding had already written a bunch of songs for the next album, which obviously wasn't to be. Guitarist Andy Andersson, who'd joined the Skulls just 6 months prior, didn't want James to waste the songs and suggested recording them anyway as a side project. Andy had some great songs of his own so he brought them to the table and in addition, James had in his posession two sets of lyrics written by the awesome penman and fellow Brit, Chris Jelley and, by co-incidence had a couple of songs without words. Andy then suggested recruiting the rock solid Bo U W Sundberg, who'd had plenty of roadtime with the infamous Yngwee Malmsteen. James was concerned - "Aren't you a bit technical?" to which Bo replied "f*** that... I wanta playa da punka rock!!", so he was in! From that moment on, it all came together, culminating in the formation of a new project, HARDSLUG, and the creation of the full length CD which takes its title from one of Jelley's lyrics, "Home Sweet Homicide". The cover art was hand painted by LA's master poster artist, John Miner. This is a project that allows us to express ourselves without any pressure - we can just make music for our pleasure, and other people can choose whether to listen to it or not... if they like it, that's lovely and is a bonus.
Cheers - HARDSLUG

just listenend to the other songs and they are great, its not just your accent but the music also sounds very English how 'Punk Rock' should sound, if they are off a CD album is it available in the UK? has it been distributed that far?
Hi James! I love the song 'Alcohol' its fantastic! Kinda reminds us of someone we knew eh? Obviously by the lyrics your experience led to something far worse than some piss head ruining a band but that malignant black cloud has long gone. Aside from that its a great song, love the Bowie esque chorus...Great stuff!!
