   About Hard Travelers
THE HARD TRAVELERS

DAVE SHARP (The Alarm, SLF), HENRY McCULLOUGH (Wings, The Grease Band), ZOOT MONEY (The Animals, Big Roll Band), GARY FLETCHER (The Blues Band) and COLIN ALLEN (Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker) have all individually made their mark on the history of Rock & Roll.
Collectively as The Hard Travelers they hold the promise of a major force to be reckoned with.

The band will be touring in the spring of 2008 celebrating ''The Spirit of Woody Guthrie'' performing songs by Guthrie himself, those he inspired and their vast, individual back catalogues.

BOUND FOR GLORY

The Spirit of Woody Guthrie 1967-2008

The Spirit of Woody Guthrie has been a universal inspiration throughout 4 decades of music history and has been a beacon of light at every turn along the way.

Described as "The father of American folk music" and as "one of the patron saints of American rebelliousness", Guthrie's spirit continues to be a guiding force for a new vanguard of artists currently making their presence felt.

To celebrate 40 years of "The Spirit of Woody Guthrie",an eclectic group of British musicians, who's collective careers span 4 of the most eventful decades in music history, have joined forces to bring Guthrie's spirit to a new generation.

From the British blues boom of the 1960s on through the Woodstock era and Punk Rock to the present day The Hard Travelers make their touring debut, Spring 2008.

Thanks for the Add guys. Saw you at Trowbridge last week and thought you were the best act there - against some really stiff competition.
Brilliant!

Hi Guys

Looking forward to seeing you play Hastings...

Hey Check out this blog left about The Kids lol

The Engine Rooms is Brightons rock/goth venue, it's had a speed ball up it's arse in the last year and a half thanks to the Horrors and the Burlesque revival and tonight when The Riddles take to the stage I think to myself "Ah shit, some kids have got a Horrors cover band!" Fuck me but am I wrong! I haven't seen this much energy, passion and brilliance in years. Jimmy Riddle, the tiny front man looks like Nathan Barley had a drugged up threesome with Rod Stewart and Iggy Pop, he looks perfect for this band. His bass player is Sid Vicious before he discovered the smack and still had his looks, the music is balls out scuzzy rock n roll. One min Jimmy is rolling on the floor amongst the audience finishing a three note solo and next he is sweetly apologizing for not being very entertaining. They make me feel great, they make me want to jump up and down, they make me smile, happy that I am still
alive enough to have my mind changed, this is their third gig and I believe they have already signed a nice little deal and I don't feel jealous or bitchy, I feel happy that I got to see their third gig!

Thanks for the friendship request.

It was Zoot Money who really made me take notice of Blues as we worked together in the early 90's, up to then I'd enjoyed it but never got really into it, and he opened my mind (and heart) to it. I use to love hearing his stories.

Please thank him for me and say hello - although he won't know me as Wattsie haha..
