Hardwax is a sub label based in Sydney, Australia under the Central Station banner. It was established with the aim of focusing rap, reggae and r+b releasing various mix cds, compilations and looking at signing artists/labels from here and around the globe.
In 2007 Hardwax secured its first major label deal with VP Records the number one reggae label in the world. VP started the careers of many artists and is home to artists such as Shaggy, Sean Paul, Wayne Wonder, Elephant Man and Beenie Man.
Other artists on the roster include World Beat Boxing Champion Joel Turner along with Cristian Alexanda, one of the biggest R+B artists coming out of Australia. Hardwax has also been responsible for breaking Philadelphian Hip Hop artist Cyssero into Europe with his single 'Natural Born Hustla' featuring Akon.
