Hargos is one of the most promising metal bands that appears at the brazilian scenery. The band project has appeared in may 2004, with an innovative objective considering sound effects, and also to rescue Minas Gerais and Belo Horizonte(the same city of Sepultura) history, and other realities in their music’s. The name Argos comes from the Greece mythology and it means “ the hundred eyes giant”. Associating the philosophy from this character with the importance of the music, with which the band identifies a lot, it was added to the band name, the letter “H”, coming from Harp, a musical instrument interpreted in several histories as an enchantment symbol. The Line Up Breno Lorenzo(Vocals), Breno Lorenzo(Vocals),Reinaldo Alves(Guitars), Vinícius Ligano (bass), Helder Lima (drums) e Thiago Valadão(Keyboards), throughout the year 2004, the band played in festivals all over Brazil. The results were so positive, that they were invited to play at the Rock History Festival, having in its casting Shaaman, Korzus, Mad Dragzter, Overdose and a French banda Sweet Silence, taking place on December 18 th at the Chevrolet Hall for 3.500 people. All the national media has chosen the band the night revealing.

With ten ready musics, the band establishes a partnership, and invited Stanley Soares,sound engineer of one the best world rock icons, the American band Motorhead, and also the producer of the brazilian metal band, Sepultura, and Alan Wallace from Eminence to produce the first album, entitled “ Shadows of Violence”. Marcus Viana, responsible for Globo television channel sound effects and a musician from Sagrado Coração da Terra, the lyrical singer Isabela Santos, the winner of the International Prize Bidu Sayão 2006 and Wallace Parreiras from Eminence, they have had a special participation on the album.

In October, the band was considered the headliner in Metal Alliance Fest, for 2.150 people.

The record was mastered at the biggest studio of latin America, Classic Master, by the famous engineer Carlos Freitas, that mastered many bands like Shaaman, Titãs, CPM 22 and others Brazilians famous bands), The graphic project has been developed by Gustavo Sazes(Krisiun, God Forbid, Manowar), considered one of the best designers at the brazilian phonographic market. .

We played with many bands in many cities in Brazil, like Symphony X, and make a big tour in North and Northeast during November and december. In february 2008, we play for 7.000 people in Salvador, in Palco do Rock Festival, with 32 bands. The band has been chosen for the Wacken Metal Battle 2008 again. At this moment, the band composing a new album.

Hargos é uma das mais promissoras bandas de Metal que surge no cenário nacional. O projeto da banda surgiu em Maio de 2004, com o propósito inovador em termos de sonoridade, e resgatar a história de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte e outras realidades em suas letras. O nome Argos vem da mitologia grega e significa “o gigante dos cem olhos”. Associando a filosofia deste personagem com a importância da música, com as quais a banda muito se identifica, foi acrescida ao nome da Banda a letra “H”, proveniente da Harpa, instrumento musical interpretado em várias histórias como símbolo de encanto.

O line Up Breno Lorenzo(Vocais),Reinaldo Alves(Guitarra), Vinícius Ligano (baixista), Helder Lima (baterista) e Thiago Valadão(tecladista), tocaram ao longo de 2004 em festivais por todo Brasil. Os resultados foram tão positivos, que foram convidados para tocar no festival Rock História, que contou em seu casting com Shaaman, Korzus, Mad Dragzter, Overdose, e a banda francesa Sweet Silence, sendo realizado em 18 de dezembro no Chevrolet Hall para um público de 3.500 pessoas. Toda mídia nacional presente elegeu a banda como a revelação da noite.

Com dez músicas prontas, a banda forma uma parceria, e convida Stanley Soares, (engenheiro de som de um dos maiores ícones do rock mundial, a banda americana Motörhead, e também produtor da banda brasileira Sepultura) para produzir o primeiro álbum da banda, intitulado “Shadows of Violence“. Participaram deste trabalho o músico e responsável pelas trilhas sonoras da Rede Globo, Marcus Viana,a cantora lírica Isabela Santos, vencedora do prêmio internacional Bidú Sayão 2006 e Wallace Parreiras da banda Eminence. Em 2006, o evento de destaque foi a abertura para a turnê internacional do Shaaman, para um público de 2.400 pessoas na casa Armazzem 841, realizado em 25 de Março em Belo Horizonte.

O disco foi masterizado no maior estúdio de masterização da América Latina, o Classic Master, pelo renomado Carlos Freitas(Capital Inicial, Titãs, Shaaman,entre outros).O projeto gráfico foi desenvolvido por Gustavo Sazes(God Forbid, Krisiun, Manowar, Dr. Sin), hoje considerado um dos maiores designers gráficos do mercado fonográfico. Em 2007, houve uma mudança no Line Up, entrando Victor Munhoz (teclados) e Victor Vaz (Guitarra), dando novo gás e motivação para a banda. O tão aguardado álbum, Shadows Of Violence, foi lançado em Junho pela gravadora Die Hard Records em todo Brasil em formato digipak, e foi licenciado na Europa. Em Junho de 2007 a banda tocou ao lado da banda americana, Symphony X, durante sua turnê no Brasil. .

O Hargos está na Violence on Tour 2007/2008, durante Novembro/Dezembro de 2007, a banda esteve pelo Norte e Nordeste do Brasil durante 32 dias, fazendo shows por várias capitais e cidades do interior, tendo um grande sucesso de público e mídia. O ano de 2008 começou bem para a banda, pois licenciou o disco na Europa também na forma digital, e em Fevereiro tocaram no Palco do Rock em Salvador na Bahia, para 7.000 pessoas, onde a banda foi headliner em um dos dias do festival. A banda foi eleita pelos leitores entre os melhores de 2007. O Hargos ficou entre os melhores de 2007 na revista Roadie Crew, Revista Rock Undergorund, revista Rock Brigade, site Whiplash, Novo Metal, Metal Attack, Radio Rock Freeday, nas categorias melhores bandas nacionais 2007, melhores capas de 2007 e melhores discos de 2007 e revelação 2007, que credenciou novamente a banda a tocar no Wacken Metal Battle Brasil 2008. No momento a banda está em estúdio compondo seu novo disco, que será gravado no fim do 2º semestre de 2008. .
