The Hark to Towler is a place where most Live music is welcome...Indie, Metal, Rock, Blues, Reggae, Folk, World, Soul etc.....Keep an eye on some of the bands coming our way via our Gig Guide below, & of course the ol' Skiddle widget, on the left hand side, under the Jukebox. We've had some awesome bands in the past and the future is gonna be thrice as HOT! Probably.
NICKED FROM MYSPACE COMMENTS. And you know if you do a testimonial, you have to put your hands on your balls at the same time, so it's quite serious y'know!... THANK YOU - YOU'RE ALL SOOOO SWEET

Jon mate - seriously dude thank you so much for having us - we all totally agreed last night that the gig and the venue is right up there in our top 3 for the year.
Your hospitality and pure and simple love for music made it feel like the most comfortable place ever - your crowd were amazing EXIT STATE
Thanks for having made the magic possible! :)
Peace, Cap'ain! CHARMAINE de VALOIS
Cracker night last night mate...the best time we've had since arriving....bloody sore this morning though !!!
Watch out for that damn gorilla !!! AS WE ARE
Just wanted to say a quick thank you for the love and support we have had from Cpn Jon and his scurvy crew - it means the world to us and we had again one of the best gigs of the year! Its fair to say that in our top five gigs of 2008, two of them are the last two Towlers! Genius! F.I.G.M.O
There's many more but we don't wanna be showin' off :)
We have full PA,(6 Peavey cabs/ Studiomaster amps - around 2000W a side/ Soundcraft 24 channel desk) a great light show (par cans, pinspots + colour blasters), a top little stage (Bands! Remember, this is a pub - not Madison Square Gardens! It's 2ft high X 14ft deep X 11ft wide. That's the stage - not the pub) ... even free fog! And some monitors. Ahem. Microphones are also provided. Not bad, eh? Jon (that's me actually) does the sound, so let's not have any moaning about bringing your own soundman - it's not necessary. No one knows the rig like I do - & even I still don't know it! Not intimately anyhow. It's a very secretive system. Run exactly like the Millenium Falcon. A quick slap on the dash & off we go! Ha! Ha! If all else fails - call for Lea! A wide variety of screens carry the action throughout the pub - Big ones, small ones, some as big as yer 'ead! Bands - drop your fees accordingly! :)
Video below: SENSATIONAL ALEX HARVEY BAND: "Give my compliments to the Chef" If pushed (or pulled), I'd say this lot were the greatest Rock band of ALL TIME! This week :)
Who I'd like to meet:
Video below: FIREFALLDOWN: "Commissioned" Top band!.
Video below: ALICE IN CHAINS with GRETCHEN & NANCY WILSON: "Barracuda - Live". Blimey o'Charlie Riley almighty!!! Turn it UP!
"Welcome, to a world of ... interest"
PLEASE NOTE: We are open from 6.00pm every night. Gigs usually start around 9pm - 9.15pm - depending on complications. Ha! Ha!
You can check all our gigs until well into 2009 on the Skiddle Widget which is down on the left (under the rather magnificent 'Jukebox') Give it a scroll! Savvy?
