Harm’s Way began way too long ago when Dennis and Harmon met at a gig Dennis was playing and Harmon sat in on drums and eventually replaced the band’s drummer. That musical friendship evolved through the years as Harmon learned the acoustic guitar. Not too long after, a mutual friend introduced Scott and Harmon who started playing acoustic guitar together, jamming and singing. The foundation for Harm’s Way was formed when Dennis, Scott, and Harmon began playing together and a venue operator needed a name for the marquee. Dennis gets credit for naming the group.
A casual comment about musical instruments while Mark and Harmon were conducting some personal business brought Mark into the group. A while later, Doug attended a jam and things began happening musically. Jams became rehearsals and the desire to play for an appreciative audience took over.
We play “out” once or twice a month and Harmon frequents many open mics. Sometimes Dennis and Harmon perform as a duo. Recent shows have been at Swallow at the Hollow, Roswell, GA; Northern Star Coffeehouse, Norcross, Ga.; Blackstock Vineyards and Winery, Dahlonega, GA; LB’s Acoustic Jam, Conyers , GA; C.T. Grinders, Cumming, GA; Petey and Polly’s, Buford, GA; Corporate party-house concert, Lake Lanier, GA. Our musical style might be categorized as contemporary folk, Americana, folk-rock, and singer-songwriter. We are not a cover band yet we play songs by many of the great, but sometimes obscure artists. When you listen to Harm’s Way, you will hear music performed with conviction and rich harmony.

Thanks for the invite. We can certainly agree "Dead Egyptian Blues" is fun! We got to do it with a great swing band at PSGW. Everyone dug the song. Here's to the music,
Thanks much for all the help at Northern Star...I always enjoy playing there and discussing the music biz with you! All is well here, great show in Tampa last night, I'm heading to Jacksonville shortly. I'll be sure to give Sharon your regards! Donna
Days like yesterday don't happen often enough, but when they do, they are priceless. We had such a grand time with you and Dianne. Too bad we didn't get to "pick" any, and it is a shame that we never got nuthin' to eat. Thanks for an awesome day up here on Black Rock Mt. Cabin # 2 is still ringing with the sound of your guitar! Give Dianne a big old bear hug from Dad, Les, Grama and Grampa Oja, Sandra, and me. We love you guys,
Needless to say, it is always good to talk with you. They ain't nothing like "old friends", and you are one of the "oldest". I mean that in a good way. Talk to you again soon.
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about the Kawasaki outfit that you and Dianne had Santa bring me for Christmas! It is more than awesome. It is freaking awesome! I can polish my guitar, dress my frets, and do my own root canals. I bow to you, O Lord of the Strings. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Oh yeah, and give Dianne big birthday hugs from Sandra and me. We love you two.
Just a note to say hi... hope that you and your family had happy holidays... and thank you again for the wonderful gift that all of you on RMMGA gave me. I am hoping that someday we will actually meet. Remember that you are always welcome to my concerts, and Georgia isn't such a long drive away. (And then, of course, you'd get to see the new sound system in action.)
Thank you for the birthday wishes!! A good neck and back rub would be a wonderful birthday present, but probably not gonna happen. And thanks for the good press, maybe that's what I should do for a living.
