"The More We Get Together", Harmony's debut full length record, will be released soon. Keep checking back for details!
In 2005, Harmony Trowbridge released "Amoraphobe", her critically acclaimed mini-album which featured six original songs performed solo. "The little record that could" caught the attention of music journalists across the country, as well as that of Vinyl Cafe's Stuart McLean, who invited Harmony to join him on two Ontario tours. She has since headlined a tour of her own across Canada, and has captivated audiences as much with her live show as she did with her intimate first record.
In 2007 Harmony and her husband Adam celebrated the birth of their first child, Kai Hibou. During her pregnancy, and in the late and early hours in Kai's first year, she wrote the collection of ten songs that will make up her next, full length album, "The More We Get Together". Harmony is currently in studio completing this upcoming release which she is producing and arranging herself.
NOW Magazine Review of Amoraphobe (2005) "NNNN. The title of her debut EP may mean "afraid of love," but Harmony Trowbridge has no fear when it comes to her musical direction. Not your average singer/songwriter, she's much more of an avant-lyrical artist. Her voice is so distinct - almost valiant - that it almost doesn't require the accompaniment of her subtle guitar plucks. Slightly reminiscent of Joanna Newsom's quirkiness - though less shrill - and of a younger Joni Mitchell, Trowbridge is nonetheless an original. Her poetic, often spoken-word, beat-like musings are frank and moving, and she's both delicate and fierce. She can floor you with her loveliness."
