| General | music, playing music, tube amps (which give me a boner !!) Hammond organs and Leslies,, I also buy and sell Hammond organs,, mainly I deal with M3 organs,, which are really close to the B3 sound at 1/10 the price,, so if you want an M3 or have one that needs attention ,, let me know | | Music | I've decided to update some of my profile since a lot of it was 5 years old. yeah, nowadays I've been playing in rock bands for several years, listening to rock bands(which I rarely did for years) though I still love my jazz, such as the great organist Jimmy Smith, Joey Defracesco, Groove Holmes and all the jazz greats, Duke Ellington, Roland Kirk, there's hundreds,, but lately I've been consumed with learning Deep Purple tunes,, and I got to admit, Jon Lord is above my head,, he's just incrdible, but I'm trying to get me a style and sound and that extremely rhythemic crunchy sound he did suits me fine, and his solos were amazing, and the debt of his musical sense,, just listen to the intro to Lazy, incredible stuff, so yeah, Jon Lord, Greg Rollie, Keith Emerson,Rick Wakeman, and unknowns as well my mentor Ken Clark who showed me (cause I saw hin about 50 times!!) how to operate this monster of an instrument, and maybe my biggest rock influence,, STEPPENWOLF,, whoAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Born to be Wild,, that Hammond dirtys it up and smokes it into a new dimention!!! Govt Mule, Kansas, Black Crowes,Yes,Allman Brothers,Rod Argent,Santana,Black Sabbath sounds great with a grinding Hammond!! I would love to get back to Gospel music someday,, the chords are brilliantly put together and it sounds so great when played well. if the intro to Freebird isn't gospel I don't know what is, | | Movies | not my bag,, but my kind of movie in the one with George Clooney, Cheech Martin and a bunch of folks,, I think its called Dusk to Dawn. I could be wrong,, | | Television | just news,, poker shows, dating shows,, not a big TV wather | | Books | just my organ music books | | Heroes | just musical heros, I realize some people were a better musician at the age of 18 than I'll ever be in my entire life,, but that don't make em my hero,, a hero you look up as being a lifes example as to how you would like to be,,nah, I don't have any heros, I'll get through life my way somehow !! |

About me:
it's mostly about music for me,, at least tha's what this myspace is all about to me,,I play the Hammond organ and I'm always trying to go forward in my pursuit of getting in bands that love the organ sound and don't ask me "would you mind just bringing your synthesizer,, I 'm in one band at the moment with more projects coming along, My Deep Purple tribute band,, easy going folks who love to rock hard,, we're starting off as a Deep Purple tribute band hoping to branch out into other heavy stuff,, the world needs more of the heavy stuff and not that cheesy metal stuff,, I like to make the Hammond sound close to a Les Paul going through a Marshall,, the way Jon Lord used to play,, or Uriah Heep,, early Yes, great organ stuff there,,
I would like to use this profile page as an outlet to my hopes of becoming a Hammond go to guy for anyone who needs a Hammond organ, I don't mess with Leslies too much at least not yet,, I am mainly dealing with the M3s,, a great starter organ that we can generally get you one all fixed up with everything working for $200-275 depending on the condition of the organ,, some organs needs tons of work while others need just a little,, I don't charge for the work I do,, I charge according to how nice the organ is after I'm done,, and I also build small Leslies with 10 or 12" speakers for between $175 and $250, you can contact me for more info on this
