Harold Payne has over 100 recordings by acts as diverse as Patti LaBelle, Rod Stewart & long time collaborator, Bobby Womack, (literally from Peter Paul & Mary to Snoop Dogg--from Ron Wood of the Stones to Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child). He has also opened for the likes of Van Morrison, Kenny Loggins, Collin Raye, The Beach Boys & Hawaiian legend “Iz” (Israel Kamakawiwo..ole). Playing an eclectic blend of pop-Rock, folk, and acoustic soul, Harold Payne has been an international ambassador of music and good will to Russia, Indonesia, Europe, Japan, Cuba, India & the South Pacific.
He has played just about every imaginable venue--from amphitheaters to community theaters, festivals to churches, from the Houses of Blues to house concerts, from corporate events to private parties. Along the way, he’s developed his own style of audience interaction, which usually includes his notorious song improvisations. Harold also creates custom songs in advance, or from the back of the room to tie in with a presentation. His live performances are soulful, spontaneous, heartfelt and humorous. He also records & performs with Gravity (aka Gravity 180)
Okay...so...I'm in a "Simply Red" mood tonight...I usually get that way when I can't shake the blues, which I usually can shake but I'm just not shakin' it right now...I think Mick Hucknall is a genius...Consider this...I can say that my all time favorite video from the "good old" MTV years would be "Holding Back the Years"...always was and still is my favorite...I relate to this video in so many ways...tramautic childhood and youth...get away as soon as you can... Live in London, a great cover of Neil Young's "Mellow My Mind" Which version of "Holding Back the Years" do you like best??? Anyway...that's all I have today...it's all I have to say... <object width="425&

I knew Michael Jackson and worked with Jermaine Jackson when I came to Los Angeles after leaving K.C. and the Sunshine Band. Michael Jackson was a gift from God that we were gratefully allowed to share our lives and hearts with through his wonderful music which will always live on...A shy man seeking peace in the midst of all of the storms that swirled around him in his life...It is my prayer that he is truely peaceful now. I intend to make great music in his honor and I hope all of our comtemporaries will do the same... In Jesus love, Oliver C. Brown
