Hello, HarperCollins Canada! I’m very excited to have Harper Perennial publishing my first novel in September!

BEING WRITTEN is the story of a man who knows he’s a minor character in a book and the lengths to which he'll go to win a bigger part.

    Here’s a one-minute video about the book:

Readers can find more information about the novel and the book tour on my MySpace profile and
    at www. williamconescu. com.

    From my book...
That Monday we had your typical Monday show: another pathetic bar filled with losers drinking overpriced booze served by genetically damaged trailer people. I hated bars. We spent the evening trying to get their attention on us and off the big-screen football game. I spat on someone watching TV in the middle of one of our songs. He didn’t notice.

People adored that Saturday night we all spent without electricity between 8 and 9. Everyone seems to have a great story to tell about their evening.

It should happen once a month, don't you think?

I read The World Without US , it's fantastic. I had it on my staff wall at my Coles last summer.

I originally got the idea spark from the Ian Malcolm character in Jurassic Park!! And I totally agree, do whatever you can and MORE to make the earth habitable for US!!!

I do want to save the planet but i've always had the idea in my head that Earth, the actual planet, will survive anything that we do to it. Life as we know it may not be able to survive but Earth will. That being said, We really need to save our selves and the resourses that we have so future humans and animals can live as we do (or better). It's a tecnicality, I know, but to me it makes all the difference. The distinction makes me realize that it's personal, not just "save the planet".
