Harpers Ferry began in 2000 when roommates Anthony Petrino and Neal Blumberg invited Karen Huller, a friend of Anthonys from Ursinus College, to get together and jam. For a year they played at various pubs and bars in the Philadelphia area as an acoustic trio.
In 2001, the three hooked up with bassist Jeff Driscoll and drummer Ronny Taylor (writer of the Harpers Ferry original song I Will Shine) to complete the line up and the band finished their first short length CD Food in the Blender, which was produced by Matt Muir of Four Way Street.
In September 2002, Amy Antrim joined the band as the drummer when Ronny decided to move on. Later in the year, Anthony DiFulvio, a long time friend and band mate of Amys completed the line up as the bassist after Jeff decided to move along. Amy and Anthony added a new dynamic of harmony and song writing to the band.
we try our best, to include all styles of music discrediting nothing as invaluable.
