Harripaul is a band that brings diverse influences together into a blend of rock, reggae & old school soul. Harripaul is a three piece band based around the talents of Jean Harripaul, Henley Simpson and Paul Griffiths.
Jean Harripaul (guitar/ vocal) first found chart success as a solo artist under the name of Roger Jean, with the hit record “Cover Girl”. During this period Jean toured extensively with Roachford and The Christians.
Henley Simpson (bass/ vocal) is best known for playing with reggae band The Amharic, whose album “Descendants” is currently available on the Pharos Records label. He is also known as the driving force behind Bizzyhedz studios. Paul Griffiths (drums) has recorded with Jon Bickley on his album “The Song of the Eagle” and the single “Jazz”, which was recently favourably reviewed in “Rhythm” and “Playmusic” magazines.
The new album "Live your Life" showcases the band’s mix of soulful rock music that highlights Jean’s breathtaking voice and inspired guitar playing. The new album was recorded at Century 21 studios in London. From the soulful ballads “Should I” and “Vienna” to the driving rock of “Rain”, the band touches effortlessly on every influence, from reggae in “Spirit of Creation” to the r&b feel of “Where there’s a Will” and “Song for You”.
