The band's lean, mobile style recreates the authentic, intimate experience of dancing to roving Roma musicians. The Harris Brothers, Laine and Drew, have their roots in numerous bands throughout the region, including Zlatne Uste, Gypsy Cab, Zurli Drustvo, Bez Granica, and the Subteraneans. Both have traveled and played music throughout the Balkans and performed at the Dragachevo Brass Festival in Gucha, Serbia. Accordionist Melinda Fields leads the band Druzina and plays in Gogofski. Helen Marx, our drummer, also plays in Druzina. | | Record Label | Unsigned |
