Harrison Avenue are a duo comprising of Steve Harrison - guitar and vocals and James Harrison, his son - piano, guitar and vocals.
James is a solo musician playing his own original songs and some covers on the Bournemouth music scene. In 2007 he made his first album 'Happy with you'. He is heavily influenced by The Beatles, Paul McCartney (solo), and Cat Stevens, another main influence in James' life is of course his father - Steve Harrison.
Steve was the originator of a well known folk rock band during the 70's called Saraband, they toured up and down the uk performing their own original music at festivals, universities, radio & tv They were signed first by Decca then by Folk Heritage. Steve bought James his first guitar when he was 5yrs old and taught him a few simple chords, he always loved to sing from a very early age. Later he took to the piano, to become his first instrument. They have always jammed at home and recently decided to have a bit of fun doing some gigs together. Steve has missed the music business since Saraband quit the scene, and is loving playing again.

Okay, it's “in the garden” of a house, but it's a detached, purpose built studio, soundproofed from the outside to around 90db, acoustically treated inside with a separate live and control room. Remember, if the acoustics in the room are not right, no amount of equipment will ever fix it. T Tons of industry standard equipment, not home studio toys. For example the RME Fireface 800 is one of the top of range digital audio interfaces recording up to 192Khz ( not that you need it ) with almost no latency at all. That combined with Neumann/Rode vocal/instrument mics and things are looking good. G Good value for money. We are not the cheapest and we are proud of that fact. We charge a mid-range price that enables us to offer the kind of after session support needed. Ask any previous customer and they will tell you how much trouble we go to to ensure you get something you are really happy with.
