If Flight of the Conchords wasn't before me, then I would have said Flight of the Conchords, but it wasn't. So anything I say here is not entirely credible. I'm pretty sure The Beatles are an influence, having being chiselled into my brain from womb to tomb
Some call me Midnight Glider. Others call me Harisson McWilliams. Some call me The Staple King. Others know me as Otbo. Some call me Secret Peter. Where is he hiding? In a shoe, in a bush, in a rock, inside in a cupboard, in a lane? No, he's inside yourself. Other call me Otis. Some call me K-nnnnnnnigget. Others call me yes lad. I am sometimes called "retard". I go by many names. But you may call me......hmmmm.....just call me Otis
Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.
To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.
We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV this week with the full line up. We are currently taking bookings for gigs/concerts/festivals and can be contacted on the email above, or through our myspace and facebook pages.
Thankyou for your continued support in what has been a great year for us!
Otis is not your friend, Otis is not your enemy. He is the vague axis of symmetry that exists like the ever-shifting strip of space between the sea and the shore. Neither perfect nor immortal, Otis is true, fleeting beauty, child of chance. His followers sing songs of praise and invite you too to look, find, follow... The Followers of Otis formed in the early summer months of 2008. To date, the Galway natives have independently released three well received E.Ps and have performed extensively across Ireland and the UK. With influences ranging from Brian Wilson to Blind Willie Johnson, The Followers of Otis are guaranteed aural entertainment ..
Thanks, it was a great gig. Was funny bumping into you in Cuba the other night was my first time out in Ireland in two months. I got a ticket for ACDC, yes!
