About Harrison (has a NEW SONG! but still says GOODBYE )
Harrison was born out of the small but challenging rock scene in Hawaii back in 2003. The band came about through the unlikely pairing of guitarist, Miles, who had an indie rock band, and Martin who was playing guitar and singing with his own pop/punk rock band. The two had little in common apart from a mutual respect for the other’s unique musical talents but that was enough for them to start up a side project. They brought in the drummer and bassist, Randall, into the group, who turned out to be the perfect bridge between Martin’s heavy guitar riffs and Miles’ crisp indie sounds. This improbable
trio created an eclectic yet accessible sound that propelled them up the local rock hierarchy.
They were tapped as opening acts for mainland artists like My Chemical Romance and Victoria Vox - a testament to their wide-ranging appeal. After playing just about every rock venue in Hawaii (The Hard Rock Cafe, Pipeline, Wave Waikiki, and Soundhouse, just to name a few), and releasing a full-length CD, the band saw that it was exhausting the possibilities of the local scene and decided to set sail for new opportunities and wider audiences. They moved to Seattle in 2007 where they continue to work the scene.
