Thanks must go to members of our long, suffering family and friends whose lack of faith in us has now been justified. It was probably not the best way to spend the weekly housekeeping money on making a CD! As a sign of appreciation for being wonderful audiences’ family and friends we would like to buy a drink for you all; the first one to the bar can have it.
Proceeds from the sale of this CD will be spent on real ale and curries. We love curries we saw a sign that said Currys, we went in and they sold us a television. Our favourite curry is Chicken Tarka; it’s like Chicken Tika only otter! Thank you very much.

Poem 162 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001
Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Poem 2 of 230, WalkaboutsVerse (please see my blog): WALKABOUT WITH MY PEN
Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
This years festival is headlined by Billy Bragg (Friday), Seth Lakeman (Sunday) and Peatbog Faeries (Saturday) with many more top artists also performing.

Yes, I remember seeing you at the Dorchester, was it the Exchange evening? - It was quite good, there was this song that went..."and I'm just a little shit"! - Regards - Tim.
Just a quick update for you on the goings on of the Mostly Toast world..
The studio in The Northern Quarter is now fully up and running. We are going to open the studio up to singer songwriters every Saturday for what we are calling our "fastrack" service. It's like a drop in centre for musicians to get a song recorded, all for just £20!! Check the blog for more details....
The Mostly Acoustic gigs down at Nexus and the monthly Mostly Toast nights at The Green Windmill are going really well. We've had some amazing musicians playing some great music.
Box Kid (http://www. myspace. com/boxkidband) are still in the studio but the recordings are sounding great and we're really looking forward to getting them mixed, mastered and released!!
To Sophia ( http://www. myspace. com/tosophia ) have already finished their recordings and have an album launch night sometime soon!! They will also be launching a new website in the very near future too!!
We have also embarked on a new project called The Mostly Toast Musicians Co-Operative. Members will receive a range of benefits including 10% discount on all studio bookings, help finding gigs and monthly workshops on a variety of different topics from guest speakers. For more info go to: http://www. myspace. com/mtmusicianscooperative .
