On Keyboards. Bengt Bygren or Johan Johansson, Gothenburg.
Drums. Always Dan Magnusson from Åmål. Nobody can do it like Dan !!!

My uncle Ernie. Mississippi Fred MacDowell. Muddy Waters. R.L. Burnside and all the other musicians from the south that I´ve heard since I tuned in to a BBC radio programme that played blues in the sixties !!

Born in Bolton,England 1954. Grew up with the Beatles and the Stones, and all the other stuff in the sixties.Started listening to the Blues about the same time as Dylan boggled my mind.Always loved the country blues.Furry Lewis,Sleepy John Estes,Robert Johnson,Memphis Minnie,Big Bill etc. etc.
Been fooling around with guitars since I was about 16 years old.Bought a cherry red electric from a second hand shop for three pounds.It was a piece of shit of course but it got me started.
Moved to Sweden 1977. Did my first blues gig in the early ninties with a guy called Kenny Brown, who I didn..t know much about at the time.He..d been touring with the Mojo Buford Band and when Mojo went home to the states Kenny stayed on a while.The gig was at a small pub in a country town.No stage or anything.No distance to the audience.People hollering and shouting.You couldn..t tell the dancing from the fighting.In other words, Kenny felt at home, and I was in!!
I..ve been friends with Kenny since then and learned more about his career with R.L. Burnside. Shit, this was the real deal !! Played with R.L. a few times and had the pleasure of sailing with him too.
I met another musician in the early ninties too.A young guy from Denmark called H.P. Lange.Heard him for the first time playing with a trio.They were doing all the old country blues classics, with a fresh unique feel.Knocked me out anyway and I..ve been friends with H.P. ever since,and I..ve played a few gigs with him too.
As I..ve been living in and around Åmål,Sweden for the best part of thirty years,I..ve had the pleasure of being part of Åmåls Blues Fest since the start in 1992.Heard a lot of good music and I..ve met and played with a lot of great musicians. A big thanks to everybody who..s ever worked or played there !!!
