Influences
Good writers. Craig Finn, Adam Duritz, Conor Oberst, Jenny Lewis, Ben Gibbard, Jeff Mangum, Sam Beam
The Big Two - Dylan and Springsteen - it's difficult to comprehend the combined influence they've had on all modern music, let alone myself
The kind of albums that you just have to play from start to finish - "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel, "August and Everything After" by Counting Crows, "Separation Sundays" by The Hold Steady, "Our Endless Numbered Days" by Iron and Wine, "Eric Taylor" by Eric Taylor, "Tunnel of Love" by Bruce Springsteen, "Bringing It All Back Home" by Bob Dylan - all masterpieces
And also y'know, friends, people, places, seasons, walks, stories, love...whatever creeps into the song.
My name is Harry Harris - I play guitar, write songs and sing quite loudly in the hope that people will hear me. I love to play live, and will at every opportunity. I'm inspired by many things, musically and otherwise - Iron and Wine's lyrics, Adam Duritz's emotion and live performance, the whole of "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel - as well as the usual stuff like friends, love, and the other stuff that creeps it's way into songs as if by magic. I think we're all agreed that this new bio thingy is far less pretentious than the last one, right? Good :] I'll be seeing you all very soon - enjoy the songs. Big Love xxx
"...When PBR heard Harry Harris playing in Leamington we couldn't believe the maturity of his song writing, the power of his voice and his ability to hold an audience with songs recalling the likes of Americana greats Iron & Wine and early Ryan Adans. All this from a lad of 17 who'd travelled from Wales for the gig. He will be famous, no doubt about it..." PILLAR BOX RECORDS - WWW.PILLARBOXRECORDS.COM

Hello, after an unfortunate hiatus, the reasons for which are probably best not gone into here, we finally have some new music on the AUK MySpace site. For your listening pleasure this month we offer Nathan Oliver, Conrad Ford, the irrepressible Todd Snider and the delightful Beccy Owen. Don't forget too, for those of you within striking distance of Leicester, Electric Dustbowl 2 on 19 September.
Dear friends, I am playing a free gig at the beauteous Union Chapel, Islington this Saturday. The sunlight will be streaming through its vaulted windows as Blank Canvas and Arctic Circle present this gig during the blessed daylight hours of 12-2.
