   About Harry Payne
Hello there.
Welcome to my Site. Please sit down and make yourself comfortable.

My name is Harry. You may have noticed my songs on your way in. I've been writing songs for a while now, however it wasn't always this way.......

In my early days, I was brought up on a solid path of music from both my mother and father. My father with his love of blues and rock and folk music from the 60's and 70's, and my mother with a musical passion for classical, flamenco and 'Motown'. From this I gained an early insight in to an eclectic variety of music.

I first picked up a guitar when I was only 5, but alas even the 1/4 size was too big for me. So I moved to Piano at the age of 6. I worked my way through the grades stumbling through scales, arpeggios, Bach, blues and my parent’s tireless dedication for making me go to lessons ... when all I really wanted to do was climb trees and graze my knees.
However it paid off. I came to love my craft and everything that came with it.

It wasn't until I finally picked up a guitar again at the age of 18 did I truly realize that being able to play music was a wonderful thing. I honed my skills on guitar while remaining loyal to the piano, and not long after I started writing my own songs.

I drew much inspiration from the wonderful people that I kept near to me, but also the life experiences that I seemed to be swiftly leaving behind as soon as I had arrived.

Through playing guitar and piano, I have come to cherish many different styles and genres of music from all manner of continents, countries and cultures. I've jotted, scribbled, drawn, sung out of tune, snapped strings, broken nails and scratched wood to arrive at the place where I seem to be now.

I hope you've enjoyed an insight into my musical journey so far. Unfortunately I have to be going now…. but you’re welcome to stay. Even if it’s just to listen to my humble songs or leave any thoughts that may spring to mind. Take care on future journey's....

Your Gracious Host

Harry.

Hi Harry...it's great to have a request from you!! I am so pleased that you sent me your request because it wouldn't work when I tried to send you one. I'm over the moon to hear from you. How are things...and when will you be playing in Coventry again as I'd love to come and hear you! I had a gig recently in Worcester which turned out really well, everyone is so friendly there! I have another gig coming up at the Phoenix in Coventry on the 9th Feb. It would be great if you could come along and play too! Hope that the new year is going well for you!?Don't be a stranger.....please keep intouch! Love and peace Andréa x :D
