About me: "Songs of the Bushmen" is a satirical salute to the men (and women)
who worked for and with George W. Bush, written and performed by
Grammy-nominated musical satirist Harry Shearer. In the same eclectic
style as his nominated CD ("Songs Pointed and Pointless"), Shearer
presents a cool jazzy ballad about Scooter Libby (Dick Cheney's
right-hand man who helped out Valerie Plame), a raucous rock salute to
Paul Wolfowitz, one of the architects of the Iraq War, and a plaintive
Western ditty about Karen Hughes, Bush's longtime aide who had the
easy job of making the Arab world like America. Dick Cheney, Condi
Rice, Don Rumsfeld, even Karl Rove--they're all here, serenaded and
savaged.
Releasing via digital download only, Songs of The Bushmen will be available July 1, 2008.
Hi- Great to meet you. That picture of Bush is hilarious. I heard that was used for his coke snorting back in his AWOL days. Not to worry..these folks are determined to provide endless comedy material. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta - Philadelphia
God, you are not only a comic deity, but you also show kindness to us lowly workers in the comedy fields. Thank you for the add, Lord. May our toils at theworldwiderag.com meet with your approval. Would you like our first-born son?
Thanks for the add, man... haha. Loved Spinal Tap and your new album cracked me up. Good stuff. ;) Have you seen War, Inc.? If you haven't already, add John Cusack's Myspace page... http://www.myspace.com/johncusack
Harry, thanks for the add! I just watched your "Synchronized Swimming" sketch in preparation for the Olympics. You guys should have competed again this year ;)
Hi Harry-you da man! I just saw 'For Your Consideration' for the 3rd time,I love it.I had the pleasure of meeting you at Spy Magazine ages ago.You had your foot in a cast. I asked you to say Rock and Roll in Tap fashion and you said no. I was heartbroken-I then heard you call out to me as you were leaving and then you shouted Rock n Roll!! It was a dream come try. I envied it! Stay cool and ..Rock and Roll!!
