Spawned from the ashes of Ottawa bands Mumbleweed, Neanderthal Sponge and Pleather, HARSHEY is a fun-loving, hard-drinking group of friends looking to win over your hearts and ears. Harshey play an original brand of rawk influenced by old school punk (Black Flag, Angry Samoans, Dead Kennedys), as well as bands like Sonic Youth, QOTSA, Nirvana and The Hives. Featuring two lead vocalists (?) that have their own distinctive sound, songs range from stomp-along rawkers to blistering speed head-shakers. The band will release their sophmore CD, the first one featuring L'il Lars on the low end, on Saturday November 11th at The Babylon.

Hi there HARSHEY first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.

Hey you! Wow I miss you! Man it's been a tough couple of days. I got
in a horrific skateboarding accident. I was skating down a gravel
hill, and I fell and scraped my balls along the ground for 50 METRES! It
was AWFUL! The trail of blood was amazing! The doctor's managed to
save ten per cent of my penis and one testicle, so I guess that's good,
but still, it was terrible! The other thing that sucks is that I'm still
all itchy from that damn Beetlejuice tattoo! And now my band is
actually selling the DVD of him doing it to me, along with a full live set on
video. You can order it from our profile if you want to see me suffer!
Hopefully I'll see you out this Sunday playing with the SUB/HUM/ANS. I really
