Hartford was formed in early April 2008.Having played in 3 different well established local bands (Growing Down, Forsaken Trust, Seeing Emerson) and already having shared the stage with acts such as Silverstein, Bayside, Comeback-kid, Hopesfall, Terror, Love hate hero, The ataris, to name a few, Carl, Ben and J-P decided to start a band with the intention to make this a serious hard working project. A month after their first jam they went on the road for these following dates:
-“No guts No glory” tour may 13th to May 25th
-“No groove if the body can’t move” tour June 9th to June 14th
July 12th to July 20th
Back from tour and having played with bands such as Sydney, Rosesdead, The artist life, Kristopher roe (the ataris), the Swellers and many more, they felt it was time to hit the studio and record a 4 song demo due to be released October 31 in their hometown Gatineau/Ottawa. Having booked a full November 2008 tour to support their first self titled demo, Hartford is known to be a serious "DIY" hard working band. In a short matter of time, they will find themselves on the road across Canada and will definitely be heard of in the near future!
