It’s about not wanting to say what if… It’s about trying as hard as you can and learning more about yourself than you could ever imagine, it’s about not giving up, it’s about giving it all you have in that 30 minutes you have each night, it’s about doing what you love and building something than no one could ever take from you, it’s about having fun and learning that there is more to life than a 9 to 5 job. We are called Ben, J-p and Carl and we form a three piece pop/rock band called Hartford.
Hartford was formed in early April 2008, Having already played in 3 well established local bands (Growing Down, Forsaken Trust, Seeing Emerson) and already having shared the stage with acts such as Silverstein, Bayside, Comeback-kid, Hopesfall, Terror, Love hate hero, The Ataris, to name a few. We decided to start a band with the intention of making it a serious hard working project.
During the first 7 months, we played over 70 shows and sold over 500 copies of our self produced/recorded demo.
Back from tour, we had a little chat and decided we wanted to get back out there and really try to make this happen because trust me, being in a touring band and playing music every night in front of people is THE MOST INCREDIBLE feeling there is.
Taking the last year to write the best possible songs we could, we are proud to announce to you that we will be recording from January 11th to 23rd in New-Jersey at “The Pilot Studio” with a well known producer called Rob Freeman (guitarist/main song writer for the band Hidden in Pain view). He recorded and produced bans such as hit the light, Cobra Starship, Hidden in plain view, armor for sleep, to name a few.
Finally, we went from playing in our basements, to playing sold out shows with our favorite bands, from playing music with a piece of crap instrument to having amps and guitars that are worth more than our personal cars, from dreaming of playing a show to playing 25 shows in a month…
So honestly we believe that whatever your dream is, if you work really hard and put all you have in it then good things will happen.
