Jersey City, NJ's HARVEST OF SOULS was formed in 2000 around vocalist Brian Sutor, guitarist Emil Natchev and drummer Josh Dewald.
harvest of souls favors a radio-friendly, post-grunge approach that is heavy and yet melodic.
The bands various influences include Alice in Chains, SoundGarden, Metallica, Black Sabbath and Tool.
However the NJ rockers do have the kind of choppy down tuned guitar sound that is quite prevalent in alternative metal, and even though HARVEST OF SOULS has a lot of similarities with post-grunge bands like default and Seven Mary Three, they sound a bit heavier.
In 2003 the band released a self titled EP, featuring the song "who", and it was that one song that made it to ..1 on the New Artist Radio Top 40 chart (dec 2004).
Now preparing for their first full length record, the band is anxious to get it done and get back to playing out.

Tough Times for New York’s Greatest Rock Band
By Enzo
Pasquale
They’re not hip. They’re not cool. They don’t own skinny ties or tapered
jeans. Hell, they’ve never seen the
inside of a vintage clothing boutique, and were they to enter one, the owner
would fear this to be some sort of thuggish shakedown or extortion plot. Their prison-bodied bald and tattooed front
man, Vinny, is enforced by his
motley posse of pre-Giuliani alleyway throwbacks --- really, really good
musicians --- who cut their collective teeth on the true blue thrash and
hardcore scene that once bellowed out of CBGBs during a time when street crime
was a career path and, maybe as a result, New York City had a music scene. I dare not forget to mention their drummer,
Hemi, is a former Israeli soldier who served for the near-death experiences,
not the scholarship. Advice: don’t screw
this band. Repeat after me: there is no rock band more New York than Urbansnake READ THE REST OF THE ARTICLE
