Harvestworks is a non-profit organization providing digital media classes, workshops, as well as studio recording and production services to artists and musicians in New York City since 1977. Originally founded by artists, Harvestworks remains a non-profit organization that focuses on supporting the creation and presentation of artworks that embrace new and evolving modes of technology. At Harvestworks, artists create works inspired by new media and resources, enjoy a responsive audience through the public presentation of their works, and invite collaborations among innovative practitioners in various forms of electronic and digital media. We assist with commissions and residencies, off-site education and information programs, and the presentation and distribution of works.
Who I'd like to meet:
Musicians, composers, programmers, soft/hardware hackers, engineers; artists of all schools and media (sound, video, virtual, interactive, live-processing, performance, new*, etc.), and teachers, students, and learners of all ages and backgrounds.
*Including but never limited to all media yet un-definable or yet-to-come!
Hello harvestworks. Best wishes on your continued success. It looks like a great community program there. We are always looking for a good reason to come to NYC. Warmest regards from down south. -Frank
