Harwell is made up of Joe (bass, vox), Chris (guitar) and Courtney (drums, back vox). We are a trio of friends that are interested in only one thing, playing songs that rock. We play music reminiscent of the 90’s indie-rock heroes that we grew up listening to. With all of the melodic vocals, screaming guitars, and pounding rhythms that we can cram into a 3-minute package. This is done with a fresh take on the genre, without the predictable hooks and song formats that plague many of the bands of today.
Harwell is much more than the sum of our collective pasts, but we do have history behind us. Detroit’s ’20 Mine’ featured Joe on bass and vocals for 7 years, while Courtney and Chris spent the majority of the last 10 years playing around the Midwest as 2/3rd’s of their band ‘Small Craft Sighting’. With these years of experience under our belts, we have realized that the most important thing in music is that it stays FUN. This should hold true from both sides of the monitors. We want to have fun playing the music and we want you to have fun listening and watching.

hey i saw u guys twice at the rec center battle of the bands a while back. you guys were awesome, i will try and make it to another show sometime soon. do u guys have any cds besides the one with the three songs on your myspace?
