Vintage Vespas and Lambrettas make up the core of our fleet, but there are a few twist and go bikes, along with some other two (and three!) wheeled vehicles!BR>
We are not snobby or think we are cooler than you!
We like to ride, drink beer, read books, go to museums, and are all music geeks.
Most of us live in Chicago, a few live in St. Paul, and we have gang members in Pensacola & St. Augustine, Florida, Goteborg, Sweden, and Montreal, Canada.
Each of us are members (or former members) of other scooter clubs worldwide, such as the Instigators, Imperial SC, Jedi Knights, Screw City SC, Kentucky Fried SC, Los Corozones Negros, the Defilers (apparently up for debate!), Baltimore Bombshells SC, Moped Army, Babes SC, Svenska Scooter Klubben, United Shorties of Scootering, and The Vespa Club of America...
Membership is by invitation only, so don't ask!
Members:
Dawn Corleone, aka "The Princess", is a professional tattoo artist, rock n' roll jet setter, belly dancer, absinthe drinking libertine, and pirate. Dawn adores monkeys and Swedish band The Soundtrack of Our Lives. She also loves soup. A lot. When she's not hurting people for a living, she can be found burning up the mean streets of Chicago on her ghetto fabulous 1980 Vespa P200, Bella. You'll likely hear her before you see her as she has her very own custom boomin' stereo system! Bella was awarded a trophy for "Worst Scooter" at the 2006 Mod Weekender and Dawn thinks that's just great! Dawn just aquired a gorgeous 1961 Lambretta Series 2 TV 175 and is in the porcess of readying her for action.
Chrissy, aka "That Girl", is a Chicagoan relocated to the twin cities. Chrissy works in historic preservation. Enjoys photography, carb cleaner, tomato basil soup and quiet evenings on the couch with the cat and boyfriend. Dislikes "hotdish" and long division. Will wash dishes in exchange for repayment of stafford loans. Serious applicants send cash, money order or veggie burrito to: "hottie" c/o heck's angels.
Jon, aka "Jonny Angel" and/or "J-Flo", is a mac geek/graphic artist. He plays drums in a few rock bands, and enjoys cruising around Chicago at break neck speeds on his newly rebuilt Lambretta, christened the "Lamms Am". Jon hates soup.
Chicago's Kathy The Great was born naked and alone and wishes she could go back to those simpler times. Nowadays the hectic life of World Czar, Superhero and Self-Proclaimed Most Popular Girl In The Universe keeps her pretty busy! Known as "the serious one", she tries to keep her fellow Angels in line. That is rarely accomplished, much to her chagrin. In order to keep emotional balance, Kathy scoots around town on her suped-up '76 smallframe "Pumpkin", yelling "SERENITY NOW!" at passers by.
Professor Matthew is, shockingly enough, a college professor. He and wife Christine have recently left the mean street of Chicago for the palm trees in St. Augsutine, Florida. He hates writing short blurbs about himself where he tries to distill the complexity of a human life down to one or two sentences. Outside of that, he really just loves riding his bikes and all the rest is extraneous. He also loves his wife very much and demonstrates this by getting her likeness tattooed on him whenever possible. And he's really good at growing hair.
Christine Wy., always on the go, showed signs of an interest in information distribution from a young age. Known for prodigious napping, Christine's interests also include book collecting, exotic animals, and superior database design. As a scooterist, St. Augstine's (via Kentucky) Christine enjoys going just fast enough to avoid getting run over by people traveling behind her. Christine often promotes the role of safety equipment in successful scootering events.
Abe, aka "Ice Cold", is by far our sexiest angel. He sells clothing and accessories on ebay, is learning the fine art of tailoring, and works on everybody's scooters.. Abe, the very entertaining singer for WAXON 7, is a heartbreaker and loves the ladies. He has more scooters than you.
Ryan aka "Rhyno" is our token Oi Boy. When he is not making an ass out of himself at rallys by drinking too much and puking, he can be found working as a fire fighter/paramedic and playing bass guitar in Squared Off. He currently rides a 1964 Vespa V90 and is working to...um.... restore? a Vespa GL. Hands off, ladies this one's taken!
At an early age Quinton was kicked out by his wealthy Beverly Hills parents and stole a car. When he was on probation he was approached by Captain Adam Greer to help form a form a special "youth squad" to infiltrate the counter-culture and catch the adult crime-lords who prey on young kids.
While Quinton is "the fuzz", he certainly isn't a"pig". Being from the Flower-Children era, he doesn't carry guns; instead, he wears beads and hip clothing and uses the slang of the day: "groovy", "keep the faith" and, most notably, "solid". Quinton also has more scooters than you. He lives in Chicago
Jimmy is slightly wacko from long winters in St.Paul. He is an afficionado of old thingys. He serves big hunks of meat for a livin,'sorry' but it pays the bills. Love sunshine, chrissy and comet-kitty.
steely dan and matchbox 20 can suck his..... Lammys are best, but my GS is perdy.
Tim, aka "Timbomb", is the quiet one eighty percent of the time, the optimistic one ninety percent of the time, and an all around nice guy one hundred percent of the time. When not exceeding the limitations of his 125cc engine he is oft' found at his every growing computer complex with cat at side. Tim usually needs a haircut. Once upon a time, he was a drummer.
Sara, aka Psycho Babe, is our Swedish Angel.
She lives in Goteborg, and when she's not getting tattooed and/or causing trouble, she is a graphic artist. Psycho is very fond of splatter movies!
Sara is the proud mom of a very cool 13 year old mod named Maja!
Eric, aka, E-Rock and/or Elvis, lives down south, y'all.
Mr. Jones owns a very kickass record shop in Pensacola, Florida called "East Hill CD".
He can find you any recording by anyone, so if you want it bad enough, call him!
Like the other boys in our club, he loves the ladies and has more scooters than you.
Rishi is our Canadian Angel. He plays bass and sitar for the amazing group, THE HIGH DIALS. When he's not out traveling the world being a rock star, he can be found in Montreal with his fiance and a Lambretta in "a million pieces". The latest release from The High Dials is "War of the Waking Phantoms". Go to thehighdials.com for more info!
