Her background, training, musical influences, style and persona are nothing average. Instead it serves up a tasty smoothie of everything that is soulful, badass, and bold. Growing up in Queens, NY, Hasina had talent that was widely recognized and respected. She was accepted into the most rigorous, exclusive music programs in the country: Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and the Performing Arts and the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase. She has used that foundation to curve a niche that's all her own.
Hasina has completed her first independent EP "Welcome" to rave reviews. She is currently performing in venues around NYC to promote her album and has signed on the Save Darfur campaign by performing a series of benefit concerts to aid refugees in Darfur. If you are tired of hearing the same hooks and style, make sure you go to the next show – you won't be disappointed.
