I created the entity "Haslam" in 1999 in an endeavor to produce not just music, but a sound experience which takes the listener on a private journey of reflection and visualization. Through exploration into the depths of tonal adjustment and a mixture of minimal beats, my sound evokes ritual and fantasy born, at least in part, from my frustration with the popular music culture. My sound is a concoction of droning tones and minimal beats using patient expression, mixed liberally with strange noise and dark melody. Very tasty for the ear, the music doesn't just offer a "listening snack", but rather feasts for those with a hearty listening appetite.
