Congratulations to all 7 Kansas City teams representing the Heart of America Softball League (HASL) at the 2008 World Series of softball in Seattle, WA from August 25 – August 30.
The Women's division was represented all the way to championship day by KC Pride in the B-division. They played hard and had timely hitting with good defense throughout the tourney. The team won it all taking 1st place! Congratulations! They played solid ball throughout the tournament. Congratulations on bringing the trophy home to KC!
Kansas City was represented in the Women’s Division by KC Pride (B-division), Sharps/Arbonne Natural’s (C-division), and Foxxy Flashers (D-division). The Open division was represented by the KC Wicked and KC Trouble in the C-division. The D-division was represented by the Barbies and the Rabid Kittens.
Congratulations to all KC teams for the sportsmanship shown on and off the fields and the great softball that was played during the week. And special recognition for the cheering fans who supported all of the KC teams at all the games. The cowbells, horns, cheers, etc were recognized across all divisions - we love hearing you and appreciate your support.

NAGAAA organization had 39 city delegates at the Seattle winter meetings, representing over 14,000 members nation-wide. HASL was formed to provide Kansas City and the GLBT community with a recreational opportunity to help promote camaraderie. Our league welcomes any and all players who are gay or gay supportive.
You will find most levels of play in our league - from the pure recreational player to the more competitive player. The one constant you will find is SPORTSMANSHIP.
