November 2006. Erica has been introduced to me as my Project Smiles Child, and I am so proud to be a part of her life, and the lives of her 2 sisters and Mom, Kolleen. Ercia has now become my friend for life and she brings along with her a beautiful family. I will make Erica a part of my music in one form or another, no matter what my project may be, and I hope to bring lots a smiles her way for many years to come. I already adore this little Angel, and all of my hopes and prayers will always go to finding a cure for her rare blood desease.
4 April 2007, I was finally able to get to meet Erica on her 5th Birthday party. What a dynamite little Angel this little girl is. Erica and her sisters, Morgan and Tayler were the most fun children that I have ever met and I had the time of my life meeting them, and playing with them, and getting to know Erica and her whole family. Every one of them were such down to earth and friendly people, that upon entering their front door for the very first time, I felt like family. This day will forever be one of my best memories. Erica and I solidified our "Friends for Life" pact, and I'm looking forward to being able to spend lots more time with this wonderful family. I was so lucky to catch a day when Erica felt really great and she played and romped like any 5 year old should. She paid the price of course and spent a couple of days sick in bed recovering from all of the excitement. This is the way it is with Masto, and the family has done everything possible to get her the help that she needs, no matter what the cost. Because of this, Erica has many good days where she CAN feel normal, and her Mom has done a wonderful job at caring for a very special child as well as her 2 sisters. I adore them all and spending this time with them was priceless. I am solidifying my pact with Erica that I will do everyhting in my power to bring more awareness to the world about Mastocytosis and finding a cure for this rare desease. My other songs are a mixture of life's experiences from travels, seasons, and world events, and also people encountered, along with sounds from different cultures that I have experienced as well. All of my music comes from the heart, as the music is generally written first, and the lyrics follow after I determine a path that I would like the song to take. All of the songs come to a point where they direct themselves in a certain direction, and I can only continue them in that path, which always creates a totally different result than the one I had originally planned on taking. This has served me well in creating an original song that has meaning and tells a story about a particular issue or subject, and always to an unexpected conclusion for me.

My music is meant to be enjoyed, and hopefully will take the listener on a trip though nostalgia at times, and other times through world events. Still other times, the listener will form their very own meaning for a song and let it take them in their very own path that will be meaninful to them as an individual. On all accounts, you will find my music to be mainly upbeat and what I term as "Happy Music". I hope that every listener will feel that way as they listen to my songs, and reflect on life's experiences.
Influences
One of my closest friends has had so much to do with the turn out of this Slow Dance CD and I need to recognize her.
LadyinRome has been there from day one, when I was writing my first song, and she so eloquently gave her opinions on them, and helped me to adjust my sound so that the listener would hear a final unbiased final mix. Her ears were better than mine until she showed me the sound that she felt was good. It became the basis for my getting used to the recorded sound in the studio, and how it transfered to the listener once the recording went through all of the normal processes before the listener heard the final product. LadyinRome continues to this day to support my music with such devotion, that there is no way that I could ever repay her, other than with my friendship. Needless to say, I am the winner on that account, because I got her wonderful friendship in the interim.

Sometimes I sound like Jimmy Buffet. Other times I sound like Lynyrd Skynyrd. I am influenced by many styles and artists but I try to sound like none of them. I like to mix more than one style of music into a song to make a whole new sound. My favorite mixture is like an Al DiMeola rhythm style combined with an Eric Clapton melody style.
I'm doing my own thing in my own little studio and having the time of my life. I have played in mainly Southern Rock and Top 40 style bands over the years, and this is my first foray into writing and recording my own music. I play mainly electric and acoustic 12 string guitar. I have just recently put together a small recording studio in my home which includes a 16 Channel mixer and a typical sound and monitoring system. I had intended on recording my own band with this system, but since it's breakup in January 06, I am using it for myself and enjoying every minute of it. I'm using computer recording software and Synths along with numerous tools.
I have to give DrLunk of Wretched Nit Studios and The Fabulous Huckleberries, an endless amount of Kudos for offering and helping me to learn the recording process, and we expect to hopefully be working together often on different projects in the future. Billions of Thanks to you DrLunk for taking the time and putting out a tremendous amount of effort, knowledge and information in teaching me the trade, and not once, not had the time to do so. It will take years to pay back the favors that you have extended. Thank you deeply for all of your help and patience.

Hello everyone, I need all your help please. Yesterday Nathan, my oldest daughter Taylers father was burned in a flash fire while trying to help his neighbor. Nathan has third degree burns on his face and left hand which is burned the worse. He also has second degree burns on his chest. he was taken to the local hospital and then air lifted to the burn center an hour and a half away. Tayler was able to talk to Nathan last night for a minute before they sedated him as he was worried about the kids and ruining there easter. Please pray for them all. I have seen prayers perform many miracles and right now we need some of them. Thank you all. We wish you all a happy and safe easter.
