Everything begins in 1996 and the live activity, a matter of fundamental importance still now, is already up and going. After a little bit more than one year tha band record their debut album, as yet unreleased because of problems between the band and the label. After this bad experience it was not easy to start again with dedication, but after that the decision was made and HATEWORK kept getting gigs, playing live and composing the tracks that ended up on the "THRASHERS'ATTACK" demo in the year 2000.
Most of 2000 and 2001 were spent in promoting the band's demo on a live basis, and composing tracks for another 2-track promo demo which eventually got the band a deal with the Germany based label WITCHES' BREW RECORDS: in 2002 "MADBENT FOR DISASTER", the first official HATEWORK CD, is finally released.
During 2002 and 2003 the live activity is running wild for the band, who gets the support slot for important acts such as Raw Power, Tankard, Necrodeath, Dismember among others.
The year 2003 sees the band partecipating to a bunch of compilation albums, a split 7" for the Italian underground label Dream Evil Records. The year 2004 sees the release of the 2nd LP "THRASH 'N' ROLL for the U.S. label Beercity rec. (just wih D.R.I. VERBAL ABUSE and other cult thrash-core bands!). Gigs and show all over Europe, good reviews and interviews on the main world metal and hc mags and then in 2007 HATEWORK signs with PUNISHMENT18 Records. The new album, titled "...The Actual Worst Has Come..." (title is a reference to 2007's Hyades album "And the Worst is Yet to Come") is set to be released during summer 2007. It will contains a cover version of Johhny Cash's classic song "Ring Of Fire" (+ videoclip), a couple of brand new unreleased songs and the best songs composed in 11 years of career.
From the dark damp cellars of Bristol, so deep in "The Underground" that the graffiti on the dungeon walls is still in Latin, these disciples of "Dr. Faust" stir a vile brew of HELLBASTARD, CELTIC FROST and AXEGRINDER. Seasoned with a healthy dose of MOTÖRHEAD warts their alcohol fueled brewtality should convince every follower of Thrash and Crust alike. Released in February 2009.
After a batch of home brewed demos these fun loving, hard thrashing lads from Glasgow "Murder City" have honed their brewing skills to perfection, offering this premium brand of Thrash Metal. With ingredients such as HEATHEN, FORBIDDEN, EXODUS and SACRED REICH, "Global Hangover" is certain. Will this advent the rise of "Clyde Bay Area Thrash" ? Time will tell. Released in February 2009.
