About me:
Hello My Name Is Michael Dargan and I am The Coach and Chairman of Hatfield Judo Club, which i started in October 2007. The Club has grown very quickly, both in numbers attending in main training sessions and that of school participation at key stage 3&4 (secondary school).
since the beginning of the club i have worked closely with Herts Sports Partnership and the local SSP (Schools Sports Partnership). To deliver Judo to Schools in the local area, this is one project the club aims to provide constantly.
I am now the chairman of Hertfordshire County Judo, i look forward to working with all the county clubs and coachs to provide more opprtunity for people to do judo .
I have been a Judoka since 1984 and started at Hollington judo club bassed in sussex.
i have been trained at numerouse judo clubs in my judo career- Aldershot,Basingstoke, Bexhill, Chepstow, Camberley, Grimsby, Hastings Y.M.C.A, Margate, Maidstone, Portsmouth, Rochdale, Stains.
My first coaching position i held, was at Bexhill A.A. Judo Club as the Juniors & Squad Coach. I started the Bexhill junior squad, who were known as
The Bexhill Falcons.
They won numerous medals, their major win was at Sussex teams comp, which would be last time i would coach the squad at competition, the Girls became the first Bexhill junior squad to ever win a major trophy and the boys came third.
