About me:

I make movies and music videos with Guerrillamonster Films. Some unpopular films include The Sore Losers and Superstarlet A.D. I've a list of other works on IMDB. In addition, I'm a videographer for StarFruit Production.

I also freelance as a web designer. I can install and customize PHP/mySQL database content management systems. Contact me for project pricing details.

I recently shot my first narrative feature movie, called Cigarette Girl.

A STORY FOR QUITTERS
In the near future laws against smoking have increased to the point where you must live in a certain part of town called the SMOKING SECTION if want to smoke cigarettes. Once you have passed the line of demarcation you just know you've crossed the tracks because things get a little grimier, a little more industrial. The sky is a little blacker. The mood is heavier. Someone might get hurt.

Check out some of the fotos.

Final shoot February 13 - 22, 2009. Setting up for an FX shot
Camera operator Wheat works as director Mike McCarthy prepares actress Cori Dials for a scene in “Cigarette Girl” McCarthy’s forthcoming film. Photo for $5 Cover by Robin Tucker.

Geez, I shot shot a music video for the River City Tanlines back in October '06 and am still in the middle of finishing some visual fx. Also, I'm remixing the audio and doing some color corrections for the soon to be released (one of these years!) Direktors Cut - Double Dvd of Teenage Tupelo. Investors, contact JMM

Get Superstarlet A.D. at
Troma Studios or Amazon
or buy our other crap at:
Guerrillamonster Films

    Show me something!

Who I'd like to meet:
Film/video makin' people. Artists. Storytellers. Nerds. Weirdos. People with an eclectic taste and knowledge of music. Radio is absolute shit! Horror movie fanatics. Bone collectors. Train hoppers and world travelers. People that like to ride bicycles in the dark. Trash pickers. Dust bunnies. Foil fencing anyone? Cut your mullet dude. Sumo wrestlers. Talking animals. Cave dwellers. Someone who can run up wall and do a flip and land on their feet; Ninjas. Someone that can teach me how to weld crap together. Please make sure to message me before ya attempt to friend me.

I've posted some music video and such that I've worked on below. To see more, you can also go to my other accounts at Blip.TV, or YouTube. Criticism and kudos are welcome.

I have the indiRAILSpro XVsm I bought from indifocus.com. It's pretty nice. Also What you were saying about shooting handheld... 90% of this short is handheld. haha I'm like you.. handheld is good for the chaotic, and more tense scenes... but not for EVERY SCENE. haha But mike wants to do this whole thing handheld.. so oh well.

just moving our min-convo out of the bulletin area...

That would be great if the museum did a cult movie night. Hopefully they would pull in a decent crowd to keep it going. Seems like most good things dont last too long around here, for one reason or another.

In any case, let me know if and when its available to view/purchase.

I love that lens. Where can I buy one at? If you find a link to where I can buy one, throw it at me. Would like to have one. That Canon 50mm 1.4 ended up being a pretty nice lens.

Yeah...when we moved to Memphis a while ago...this was the first gig I had...background only...but I hung out with Rip for a few days and nights...he's an old friend from LA...crazy, drunken friend.
We're shooting Mike's new short tomorrow...100 degrees here! Holy Shit!

So basically I have dust in my 135mm. Never shot with a lens with some dust, and do not have a camera to test if this is going to be a problem. Will dust show up on footage??? If so I need to buy a new one ASAP.

You can get Drank now?!?!?! Sweet. You're on the map. The other day, I saw a guy with a Drank promo tee. The back said "SLOW YOUR ROLL." It was killer. I wish I could get my hands on one and send it to you.

I rented a Letus ultimate and returned it after just half day. Given two points of focus to always maintain (the FD lens and the camera's focus) it was ridiculous. I'm actually renting a Canon 5d Mark II for my next short. I own the glass. I'm looking forward to it. Recording sound separately.

How did you like the SG? I've seen great results from it.

Good to see you again man! Been way to long, hopefully I will be up there more for this shoot coming up. We shall see, enjoy Pocket Full of Gold, and I will get you Euphoria soon. Make sure I get a copy of C.G. when it comes out!
