Hey, Tarzan, swing on this. More comic book goodness at PositiveBrand.net this week.
Sons of Soil premiers with two chapters of this comic book prequel to Daniel Crosier's Indie film of the same name. Story and art by Daniel Crosier with additional art by Mike Heronime. Published by PositiveBrand.net. Click here to check it out and let us know what you think. I think you're really going to dig Daniel's style of painting.

Screen flashes to the body of that guy in Moira MacTaggert's care who had no personality/soul/whatever in there - his eyes open and Prof. X's voice says, "Moira?" Then the screen blacked out. That explains that weird little smile on Xavier's face right be Jean disintegrated him.

It was five years ago today when we opened the doors of Haven. I remember that Alice was our first customer that day, buying a copy of "The Dreaming" issue 60.
As time went by, Haven saw its customer base grow steadily as we provided something we felt the Huntsville-area comics scene had been lacking -- a welcoming atmosphere; a clean, well-lit store; a wider variety of independent titles; a place to sit and read; and friendly staff who weren't creepy.
Since its inception, Haven has gone through three changes of ownership and a change in location, but it still maintains its original concepts. I'm very pleased that Josh has been able to carry on what he and I collaborated to create -- I only wish I could visit more often.
