I've been enjoying books about life in the South Pacific by J Martin Troost. I can't find enough humor that fits my generation. I like biographies and any photo collection of guitars. Books with a maritime theme are a plus. Clive Cussler has a few interesting titles. I recently finished Eric Clapton's autobiography, it was very interesting and quite moving in parts. Well written and a good read.Heroes

I'm happy to be back in Ketchikan. It's only rained one day since I got back - Tia said it rained every day I was gone. I thought she was just being romantic, but it turns out it really did rain every day I was gone. A lot, too. Probably the wettest August on record. I am lining up work on Maui driving a boat next month. I hate to be gone but there is no work here, I have to go where it calls me.
